[Persona 5 X RWBY] Arcana Expansion

[?] Important Question | Formula Changes..

Hello there, it's been a while...

For those who end up seeing this from their notifications, sorry for taking your time..

I just want to ask a few questions regarding how this story should be presented.

The reason why I'm doing so is because for those who have been keeping up with what I've been doing for the past few months..

I've created another version of this book as a subseries to another story that I'm working on called "Live House Masquerade" which is a crossover between Persona 5 and other franchises like BanG Dream! and LoveLive!

The idea was for an entire trilogy of stories to take place, meaning that each story connects.. and as I was working on those stories, I feel like my style of writing has changed yet again.

While I don't feel like I'm improving at all.. if anything, the last chapter that I've put out here may be a bit of a downgrade.. at least in my opinion.. I've been trying to push out longer chapters and in return, took away some of the gimmicks that I've presented in this story.

That's what made it kinda difficult for me when I eventually went back to this book because of all the notifications I've been getting with the comments you all have been putting out and placing this book on to your reading lists.. (which, I appreciate very much.. even if some of your reading list names are kinda..well, strange..).

So, when I did come back and read through the entire thing again so I could catch up.. I feel like this story is trying too hard with its format, like it's as if it is trying to look like a game more than it is an actual story..

I mean, there are elements here that have been straight ripped out of Persona 5 like the Social Links and all that other stuff, and some events in the story would take place just for the sake of it triggering as some sort of progress between the characters..

In a way, I guess it could just be me trying to stay close to the source material.. but ever since I've put out those other books and my experiences with those - I feel like I could do better..

So, I've prepared some questions that I want you all to answer..
I know that I've pretty much left this thing for about a year, and it is my fault..
I could really use your help this time because while working on the other books, looking back on this made me realize that because I have another version in the works - this book will be fine because it is you guys who have made it all possible, so again.. I'd like to thank all of you for sticking around despite my lack of updates..

Comment down your answer to each of the following questions:

[1] How are you feeling with the characters so far and who do you think needs more fixes..?

This lines up with the biggest problem that I feel like exists within this book because while reading through this again, I feel like some or maybe a lot of the interactions here have been pretty forced.. so please, let me know.

[2]Keep the Soundtrack Listings..?

Another thing that I've been noticing throughout each chapter is that I was slowly running out of tracks to use for each scenario or have been using a lot of same ones..

with this one, I just want to know whether adding these songs in a chapter actually helps with the mood or not.

[3] More screentime for characters?

This question is kinda similar to [1].

I feel like I haven't been giving much interactions between Ren and the other characters..

so who do you think should be given more screentime?

[4] Full chapter releases?

So, the reason behind this question is that RWBY likes to split an entire episode into several parts.

With this, I'd like to get your opinion on whether I should keep at it as it is and release the chapters in parts as well, or put them out as one big chapter..

This, of course.. means that there would be some delay with the schedule of releases.. (like I had one to begin with)

[5] More chances for dialogue options?

Pretty much 90% of the comments in this book have been you guys putting out your comments on each dialogue option.

That, does put a smile on my face because at least I know that some part of the formula is working..

So I'm asking here, do you guys want more scenarios to put your thoughts in..?

[6] Keep the serious storyline? (is it even serious to begin with?)

I feel like there aren't many times in the story where the characters can just lay low, so I'm thinking whether I can implement some scenarios from Chibi or maybe even make some of my own.. what do you think?

[7] Social Links...

This, I feel like is the biggest concern I'm having with this book so far..

It's because of this addition that it's getting a bit difficult for me to write for..

Most of the "Social Link" events felt very rushed to me, and to be completely honest - It's draining me out just doing it.

So this being pretty much the most important out of all of this, at least in my opinion..

Should this thing even stay? Because I really want to focus more on the bonds between the characters instead of making it like Persona 5: The Text Format.

I may have had the most trouble with this once gimmick because I want it to feel more natural, but of course.. I'm leaving the decision to you guys..

So what will it be..?

[8 | Last] More abilities for Ren..?

This last question gets brought up because a few chapters prior... there's this one part where Ren gets his Aura unlocked by Ozpin, which finally doesn't make him out of place in the world and gives a way to blend in with the rest because of his Persona abilities..

So with that, just for fun - should we give him a mix of new abilities, or do we just stick with the usual '1' that's presented within RWBY..?

If so, you can also tell me what do you think would fit him in regards to this as I've already had one planned, but I want to get more input from you guys.. I think it'd be fun tbh..

Someone here referred to me as "Mika" in the comment section for the recent chapter, and I just want to clarify that while I have switched usernames - "Rookie" is still pretty much how people have called me, so just a little note.. you know who you are..
