Shawn had to admit it was weird to sleep in the house. It definitely showed it was Jax's house. There was Harley memorabilia all over the living room and he had leather furniture. It screamed Jax and she loved it. Her favorite thing about the house was the mirror in the bedroom; Jax had pictures of him and Opie, the two of them, and then pictures of the original Nine.

Her and Jax did christen the bedroom and then the shower and it was fantastic.

Waking up before Jax was weird. Usually he was up before her, having to be at T-M early and she took that time to admire him. He looked young and like a normal 28 year old. No worries or heavy pressure on his shoulders from being a Vice President.

Jax had shot her a text when she got to work saying there was going to be a fight night at the clubhouse tonight and that the club had a lot of money depending on it and was hoping she would show up.

Her first appointment this morning was not how she expected it to go. The parents questioned everything she did and wanted a new doctor to work with.

She also kept running into Tara, which was the last thing she needed.

Having a break between appointments, Shawn went down to see Abel. She still hated Wendy for what she did to Abel. She fucked up his life before it even began.

What Shawn didn't expect was to see Jax and Clay in Abel's room.

"Hey?" She questioned, walking into Abel's room. The two turned to face her, hoping she didn't hear their conversation.

"Hey." Jax smiled, placing a kiss on her head as Clay gave her a smile.

"He's looking good, Doc." He smiled down at his grandson. Shawn had a look of pure love on her face as she placed her hand on the incubator, leaning her head on Jax's shoulder, "He is. Dr. Namid said he has the fastest recovery he's seen in an infant."

"You're doin' good sweetheart." Clay told her, pulling his hand out of the incubator, "I'll leave you two alone."

"Why didn't you tell me you were coming?" Shawn had asked once Clay left the room.

"Didn't want to bother you." Jax shrugged, looking down at the brunette, who raised her eyebrow at him, "Coming from the same guy who would take my school stuff away when he wanted attention?"

Of course, he wasn't going to tell her that he was distracting her while his step-dad and her dad were down in the morgue making sure the bones that got dug up this morning weren't able to be ID'd.

"It's your second day on the job, babe," Jax pointed out, "you need to focus."

The brunette scoffed, sitting down in the rocking chair across from the incubator, "I don't know if I made the right choice, Jax."

The blonde was taken back by this. Shawn had accomplished the most out of all the children of the older sons; graduated high school, managed the bar, worked in the garage, and went to nursing school. Yes, the guys dealt with a lot, being in an MC, but Shawn juggled the most out of all of them.
