*Powder's POV*

Once the guy had seen me I knew I had to run. My legs were burning so bad, but I knew I couldn't stop. Like Vi told me, I'm ready. I just need to outrun this guy and bring the treasure home.

He was catching up and my adrenaline was pumping. I turned and bumped into some wooden planks that ended up falling on the guy slowing him down like I'd hoped they would. 

I quickly ran up the stairs of this house that had a huge balcony. I could hear his footsteps walking up the stairs so I turned the corner of this balcony hid and tried to catch my breath. 

He began looking for me and getting frustrated when I was no where to be seen. He gave up and started to walk away. He was almost to the stairs when I bumped into one of the wooden planks catching his attention, and leading him right to me. 

I quickly grabbed one of the make-shift bombs I had been working on out of my bag. "C'mon Mouser please work I need you." I said desperately as I threw her to his feet. 

She shook and all the signs she was working started to show and I started to get excited when she finally exploded. My heart sank when all that came out was a puff of smoke. 

I started to slowly back away from my corner as he got closer to me. There was no where for me to go. This house was on a hillside, and there was a creek below it.

 I couldn't run but I wasn't going to let them have the treasure we worked so hard for. 

I knew the only thing I could do was get rid of the treasure and hope to make it home alive. Vi would understand wouldn't she? I'd never want to disappoint her. 

I unbuckled the latch taking the bag off of my back, and throwing it down into the creek. While the guy was distracted I ran as fast as I could to get back to the others.

*Cypress's POV*

After a while of looking for Powder we went to the alley we usually meet at after our jobs, and started drawing up a plan as to where she could've gone. I mean Deckard is close with Silco so that has to be where she is right?

Vi was up pacing back and forth in the center of the alley scared out of her mind. "I swear if Silco hurts her I'll kill him!" She said her voice filled with anger. I quickly pulled her into a corner to talk to her because she needed to calm down.

 Vi isn't often scared so when she is the rest of us know it's usually pretty bad. "You need to chill Pinky. I know you're worried about Powder we all are. You're pacing is freaking the other's out and it's not making the situation any better." I said honestly as she nodded and took a few deep breaths. 

I gave her a hug, and we sat there with each other for a moment before going back to the others because we heard some noise coming from the distance. Thinking it was one of the Enforcers I grabbed one of the knives Benzo had given me, and got ready incase they tried to take one of us. 

Suddenly Powder came running through trying to catch her breath. Immediately Vi ran up to her and hugged her tight making sure she wasn't hurt. It was a huge weight off of our shoulders to know that she was safe. 

*Time skip to after Powder explained what happened.* 

"YOU DID WHAT?!" Milo yelled in her face. "I'm sorry." Powder said. "I tried to fight him off with Mouser but she didn't work.." She admitted quietly looking down as she was ashamed to look Mylo in the eye. 

"Who saw that coming?" Mylo asked with a scoff. "Mylo stop it." I said pushing him away from Powder. "You've been treating her like shit all day for no reason. I'm tired of it, none of us treated you like that on any of your first jobs. At least she tried to keep the treasure. Get your head out of your ass." 

Mylo then stepped away and stood against a wall with a roll of his eyes. "We never should've gone out there." Clogger said with a regretful tone to his voice. "It doesn't matter, the stuff's gone." Vi stated.

"It's alright Powder, at least you're okay." Vi said with a smile. "Okay?! What about us?" Mylo asked flabbergasted. "I get my face bashed in, and she just gets a pass?!" He asked. 

"Yep." Vi said and he seemed to drop it after that. We all walked to the elevator that took us from the meeting place down to the main streets of the Zaun.

 "Every time she comes something goes wrong." Mylo expressed. "She jinxes every job." He said getting all up in Powder's face. "Mylo I already told you once to leave her alone. Don't blame her for something that we couldn't control. Get over it." I said coming in between them, as the elevator stopped and we began walking home. 

As soon as we walked into The Last Drop, my eyes met with Vander's as did Vi's and we went ahead making our way into the house knowing he wasn't far behind. 

"Vander can't know about any of this." Vi said with a stern voice. "No worries there Powder took care of the evidence." Mylo said in a snide tone. 

"I tried okay?! You don't get it. You're older, your bigger, It isn't fair!" Powder said standing up for herself. "So stick with us! Take a punch or two!" Mylo responded. 

"I've told you to drop it twice now Mylo enough is enough." I said raising my voice a bit as the room fell silent, and Vander walked in.
