Sweet Night

A/N:
This scenario is a time skip after they defeat Muzan. Meaning they're all adults. And a minor spoiler warning if u didn't read the manga and light novel:D

The kitchen was filled with the aroma of the dinner meals and the laughter between them.

"Really?" Nezuko gasped as Kanao told their experience when they bought medicine in the town. Both of them were seated on the countertop facing the stove but they were centimeters away.

"Yeah, thankfully Aoi is with me; If I were in that situation I would probably stand there and panic which I've done," Kanao said before she let out a chuckle. Kanao changed a lot as the days passed by, she was talking more than usual which made them happy.

They'd done many dishes and were exhausted. The helpers of the mansion help them and get all the dishes to serve to the dining table, there's only one dish left. Aoi insists on doing this alone since they've helped her enough and it's only one.

"But you've helped me," Aoi reassured her while putting the ingredients in the pot. This is the first time meeting with each other 'cause most of them were busy in their own lives. Aoi stayed and managed the mansion that Shinobu and Kanae established, while the two settled with their husbands.

"Yeah," Kanao replied, smiling. A soft knock on the wood interrupts the bonding of the three, they tilt their head to the doorway that's on their back. They found a tall guy with his hair tied and a few amounts of strands of hair left in the front. He wore his blue yukata which Aoi made him wear for this gathering. His emerald eyes glistened in the soft light looking at her.

"Ohh, your husband is here, "Nezuko teasingly said, before she got down from her seat followed by Kanao. Aoi looked at them, she caught Nezuko winking at her then grabbed Kanao's hand walking towards the doorway of the kitchen. Aoi smiled sweetly at the sight of them.

"Good evening Inosuke-san." She greeted him with a sweet smile, and he nodded to them.

"Monitsu and Kentaro are drunk, and that god of festive tells them to drink more. They can't say no except for me." he shrugged, and the two wives looked at each other in concern.

"We're going," Nezuko whispered, she reached Kanao's arm and cling to it. She resisted when Nezuko pulled which made her confused. Kanao looked at him wearing her gloomy smile.

"What?" he asked his sister's wife.

"You—," she shook her head, "If you hurt her you know what'll happen, right?" she smiled, and for a second, Inosuke saw the resemblance of her gloomy smile to the late insect pillar.

He nodded in response, "I know you love her—I just want to be clear with you, in case you do something that'll hurt her." she added, with that, the two walk their way to the living room where their husbands are.

"Monjiro's wife sure is feisty."

The two weren't that far away so Kanao could hear his voice while Nezuko was oblivious to what she just heard 'cause she was babbling so she was surprised to see her sister-in-law red like a ripe tomato.

"Are you sick Kanao-san?" she asked with concern in her voice. Though Kanao and him have been married for a year, she just can't help to be flustered when someone says that.

Kanao shakes her head with a shy smile, "Are you sure Kanao-san?" she asked again, she reached to her forehead to check if there was something wrong with her.
