An Incoherent Sonic Fanfiction

AN: This is quite possibly the most over the top battle scene ever written. I wonder if Shadow is getting fed up with constantly passing out in space.

"This is a disgrace!!! I send out our finest battle fleet so that you can go and retrieve Gamma, and now you tell me that only fifteen ships manage to dock back here! How has this happened?"

The captain of team alpha was seated in his chair and scrutinised the two sergeants stood nervously in front of him.

"we don't know for sure" one of them spluttered out "reports said that they were charging the abduction beams when there was a flash of yellow light that blinded us all". The captain tutted as the sergeant continued his tale. "We looked again and most of the battle fleet was gone but we herd a shout that sounded like be gone..."

The captain's desk suddenly flashed red to indicate a distress call; the captain pulled the data off the table and released it in front of him. "SPEAK" he boomed into the microphone.

At that same time in the engine room. Another sergeant spoke about his troubles of time, limbs and finally, immobilising the ship. He herds a chuckle from his commander before he was given his orders.

I awoke to the sound of clanking metal and whirring gears. I glanced up. Omega stood over me. I asked him what he wanted...

"You......should........have........told.......me.......about....your......super.....emerald.."

Did he mean my amethyst of might???

"Yes....I.....do....."

I almost jumped out of my skin as I had forgotten about Omega's ability to scan thoughts.

"There......are.......six.....more....super....emeralds.......they......are.....all.....in...the.....position......of......team........alpha......they...will......hunt...you..........down......now"

Omega seemed pained by this thought, when suddenly a violent vibration rocked the ship. I looked at my monitor. There was a hole in the engine room. Darn, I thought, I could have prevented this; I should have known that by immobilising our ship, team alpha would launch another assault.

The sergeant walk over to his battle suit's smoking remains and pulled two things from his weapon containment unit, he placed one of the smooth round things on the wall of the engine room; he placed the other onto himself. He walked over to the first sphere again and placed his hand on it. Lights flashed and a small buzzer beeped. He walked to the opposite side of the room. Turned to face the sphere and began running towards it, his hand placed firmly on the other sphere on his stomach. He squeezed it and the energy grenade went off as he ran into it...

We were running towards the engine room. It was lucky that the room that Omega had been shut off in had been repaired and was now allowing you to walk through it. Omega stopped. The air did not feel quite right, sort of electrified. Omega jumped at a ball of energy was flung in his direction. I glanced and there was a man covered in electric energy was stood before us, he raised his arm and my pocket bulged. I turned on my heel and ran. Leaving Omega to fight alone.

The sergeant looked at his hand. Did he just throw that ball of electricity; no matter he had to capture Gamma and the super emerald. He raised his arms again to malfunction Gamma and looked up... there was nothing there.

I stopped running and felt my pocket my... super emerald was warm to the touch, I took it out of my pocket and felt the raw power emanating from the gem, without thinking I threw it in the air and absorbed its power once again. I decided that Omega could do with a hand, so I sped of back where I came.
