,, A life debt is a magical bond formed between a wizard or witch and the person whose life they saved. The one who owes the debt to the savior will one day be obliged to repay the deed by doing something beneficial to said savior, be it through their own request or an act of great servitude. A bond such as described within this text can be formed between even the worst of enemies regardless of whether either of the involved parties intended for its creation or not. As this bond is magically binding, the indebted will be forced to fulfill their savior's honorable act even if done so against their morals or will. A blood debt, on the other hand, is a magical curse formed between a wizard or witch and the person that has endangered one, or more family members of the caster. Once a blood debt is called forth, the castor is within their right, by the laws which Mother Magic has given us, to ensure that the other party is rightfully punished. Depending on the severity of the individual case it may lead to a harmless slap on the wrist, or more often than not torture if not death. "
Celestia let out a small hum, tapping her freshly painted sharp nails against the surface of the old oak table within Pendragon Castle's library.
She had been deemed healthy enough to be sent back home two weeks ago and had kept quite busy ever since, much to the bafflement and concern of both the Healers and her family......
No normal human, nor Veela, should have been able to survive a direct bite through a major artery by a Creature with a venom as potent as the Basilisks', much less heal from their injuries in a matter of weeks.
Yet Celestia did, and they couldn't figure out why.
Not having been given much of a choice the hospital staff reluctantly let her return home under the watchful gaze of her grandfather, who hadn't let her out of his sights for more than a few minutes once since they stepped foot into the castle, and was ready to carry her back to France himself should her health show any signs of decline.
On to more positive things- or, at least more positive than the whole fiasco with her getting bitten by a Basilisk and being attacked by Acromantulas -she had been writing back and forth with the Goblins, specifically King Ragnok, who wished to discuss the details concerning the retrieval of the giant serpent from Hogwarts with her.
Since Basilisks were so rare, having one lying dead in the Chamber of Secrets gave Celestia the perfect excuse to turn its remains into work ingredients. From potions to Wand cores and ritual materials, Basilisks were every dark-leaning being's dream come true thanks to their versatile means of usage, and the half-Veela would be uttering lies if she denied her own keen interest in some of its organs for personal use. Most specifically, its salivary glands, which could still produce venom even after the creature's death.
Admittedly it was also a bonus that the Goblins were also interested in its retrieval in exchange for some of the meat clinging onto the carcass, ( Who would have expected for Basilisk to be considered a delicacy with the Goblins ? ). She had no use for it, and with their unintentional assistance could quickly rid herself of all the useless materials the dead serpentile brought with itself, while also sparing herself the effort of having to somehow smuggle a few tons of deceased Basilisk out of Hogwarts without anyone else noticing it.
With the help of the Goblins, her workload would be severely lessened..... The only thing now left to do was await the approval of the Ministry officials..... ( Sometimes she wished to find a way to travel to the past just so that she could strike her ancestors for their insolent decision-making, thanks to which all her jurisdiction over the Continent was taken away until she reached maturity... )
Currently, since there was nothing else to do but wait, she was spending her free time in Pendragon castle's library researching in an effort to find a way to merge Tom's Soul, with the help of the two Horcruxes that she had, so that he might retain a permanent form or humanoid body while using the rest of her day to figure out a way to help the twins without further damaging their already fragile Magical Cores which were slowly draining them from their family magic to leave behind hallow shelves of what once was............
