Seventeen

Sitting in Spencer's room looking at her sister. Something was bothering her and she didn't know what that could mean. Belle looked at the paper and at the screen. "Bad?" She said. "I don't think that's it."

Spencer stared confused as Aria had an attitude. "Well, Toby trusts Belle. Any of us, forget it." Aria said causing Belle to look at her.

Belle looked back at the computer just to hear her sister say she was leaving. The other three watched Belle go after her sister. "What is your problem?" She asked.

"Hanna gave mom the ticket."

"You are letting A get between you two." She said. "You are a terrible friend for not letting her explain anything."

Aria watched her sister walk away and knew Belle was right. She shouldn't have treated Hanna like she did. Aria sighed as she followed her sister.

Belle was walking to Spencer when she heard Mark and Toby's name. "Emily, I thought you believed Toby and Mark." She said. "Don't start."

Aria sat her sister down as they heard Paige's dad. Belle listened to him talk about her friend causing her to stand up, but Spencer grabbed her and sat her down. "No." Spencer said. "That is the last thing you want to do."

"But..."

"Isabelle Montgomery."

Belle looked at her sister. "Why do you have to use that name?" She asked as she pouted. "I hate my name."

The girls smiled as Emily was upset over what happened. Maybe they should have let Belle speak her mind.

Belle arrived at Toby's with Spencer. "Mark? Toby?" Spencer says. "Can we talk to you for a second?"

"We can't talk." Toby says. "Something's up with the DA. The lawyer's driving us over to my dad's office."

"Just tell me." Spencer says to Mark. "Was that supposed to be a joke?"

Belle looked at Toby as Spencer spoke. "You're reading it wrong." Mark tells her. "We can't do this now. Come back Saturday in the morning."

"Jenna's out at her flute lesson." Toby says as he moved a strand of hair behind Belle's ears. "I'll see you later."

Belle nodded as Toby and Mark walked away. Spencer showed her the message she just received.

Jenna is gonna be soooo pissed. -A

The two shared a look before looking around. Belle knew someone is actually watching them, but where are they hiding?

Belle sat at Spencer's as she was looking at the message that was given to them. Spencer was on the phone till she started talking about Ezra. "Juicy details." Belle said as Spencer hung up. "Seriously?"

"Nothing juicy besides being on a date. It was nothing." Spencer said.

Belle pouted as she sat down. "Back to work on this message."

The next day, Belle was looking around at the clothes as the others walked over to her as they started talking about what happened between Aria and Hanna causing them to look at her. "Really?"

"Yeah, but Caleb stopped it from happening..."

Belle looked passed them and walked away as the others followed her and saw Jenna trying on a black lingerie. They didn't say a word as they had one question. Who is it for?'

Belle went straight to Toby's with Spencer. Spencer knocked on the door just for it to open. "Spencer, I may want answers too, but don't go in."

"Hello?

"Idiot." She said as she sat on the steps.

Belle felt a hand on her shoulder. "The DA is dropping the charges against me and Mark."

Belle looked at him shocked. "Really? Their not charging you for her death?"

"I didn't get the full details, but he said the blood evidence was corrupted." Toby tells her. "The district attorney can't go to trial without it."

"They're finished with you two?"

"Not finished." Toby said as he helped Belle up. "They can charge me anytime they find evidence, but..." He touched her face with a smile. "...for right now, I'm free once I get this ball and chain off my leg. I'm waiting for my dad to take me to the courthouse for that."

"We could drive you and Mark there, Toby." Belle said as Toby smiled.

Taking his hand, Belle smiled as they waited for Mark and Spencer. When they turned they saw Jenna causing Toby to hold Belle close. Mark started talking to Jenna as she was wanting to take them. "No. We have a ride." Toby says.

"Emily and Belle."

"Well, you got one of us right." Belle said. "Let's go, Toby."

Toby walked away with Belle as Mark and Spencer wasn't that far behind them.

After Toby and Mark was set free, Toby dragged Belle a little ways. Spencer smiled as she watched them. "Spencer said that the message you gave us. Is 2-1-4. What does that mean?"

"I don't know, but Mark heard Jenna on the phone talking about Spencer." Toby says. "I thought she would say something about you, but she didn't."

Belle smiled. "Toby, are you scared of her?"

"I was. I just need to be careful." He tells her.

Belle nodded as he leaned in and kissed her. Mark and Spencer saw them sharing a kiss. "She's scared of Belle because she always had Toby's heart and Jenna knew." He said.

"Belle is more of a threat." Spencer said as she watched the two walk back to the car.

On the way dropping the boys off, Belle was asleep on Toby's shoulder as they drove by a hotel. Spencer looked in the mirror to see Toby holding Belle as they continued on their way back to the Cavanaughs.
