Page 30 of hidden solace: "have you ever tried to fill the void of someone with another individual?" Jihye stares at her book and lets her mind wander. Yes, I have. I remember it so clearly, it was the day of the incident, the day I lost Jiyeon and gained a friend. We met at the hospital, both in the recovery process, I don't remember his name or face, or why he was also injured, just the moments we shared.
15th Of January 2010 "Doctor please, please save her" voice shaking, heart trembling, ready to give up on the elder at any given moment. "We lost her, I'm so sorry." The doctor says with apologetic eyes. The elder fell to the floor, her legs and body giving up on her however, she needs to collect herself for the sake of her other daughter sitting right beside her "Jihye sweetie your sister is in a better place now, we'll meet her soon, till then she'll be watching over us so don't you worry." The elder kisses the little girls forehead and hugs her tight. Jihye was also injured by the fire accident her sister died in, it took her a month to recover, in that month she was able to roam around the hospital freely, she did this mainly because she wanted her mom to cry to her hearts content instead of constantly looking after her. There was another young boy at the hospital, he was there everyday recovering from his injuries as well, cause of injury unknown to Jihye. The two young and naive kids spent most of their time together on the hospital rooftop, they enjoyed each other's company, when they were together they forgot all their pain and escaped to what seemed like a world only they live in. After recovery she moved to America and never saw that boy again, however before departure she gifted him a charm, a heart with wings. Though she is no longer by his side she still left him something to remember her by, leaving a piece of her for him. - end of backstory - Jihye finds herself subconsciously crying, now both her mom and sister are looking after her, they finally found each other again. Jihye wipes her tears and smiles at the thought of them being happy and lively again.
─────────────────────────────── - Scene Change - Jihyes pov: Geez why are all these textbooks so heavy. I've been assigned to take these books back to the library by my homeroom teacher. I really can't escape the library huh, not that I want to though.
"Move! Move! Sorry!" I say while passing by students in the hallway till I feel a push against the books causing me to lose my balance and fall to the ground along with the heavy ass books.
"Oh shoot sorry are you okay" says the boy that bumped into me I look up after rubbing my now bruised knee.
"Huh Yang Jungwon? You go here??" "Did you not see my uniform the other day?" He asks confused "Oh I guess I was just out of it" I reply slightly embarrassed. He grabs all my books and lends me a hand to help me up, which I accept. I take two of the five books and we head to the library to return the books. "Let's go to the nurses office" he says while grabbing my wrist. "What no I'm fine it's okay" I say but pain was written all over my face. "Cmon get a bandage at least." So we go to the nurses office, his hand still grasping my wrist but his hand slowly slid down to hold mine as we were walking, accidentally of course. He grabs my shoulders and motions me to sit on the bed as he gets a bandaid. He puts ointment, blows on my knee then places the bandaid gently. "Thank you boyfriend" I say smiling, amused. He just chuckles and shakes his head. Okay I take it back I enjoy these jokes, a lot actually.
- End Of Jihyes Point Of View - • back in the classroom right after Jihye left to return the books. "Teacher!" Sunghoon gets up, "I'll go help Jihye!" Before waiting for a response he rushes out the door, he spots her trying to get everyone out her way till she falls and bumps into a guy. "Oh it's Jungwon" he thinks to himself. He watches as they walk to the library, then he made his way back to class. He himself doesn't even know why he's drawn to Jihye, despite not knowing her relation with the bracelet and more so his first love, Jiyeon. Something about her is so familiar, he just can't pinpoint why.

Authors note: hello I actually like how I wrote this chapter ?? I introduced sunghoons relationship w/ Jiyeon and Jihyes relationship with her as well I'll describe more in detail about how each relationship was in the future as well as how jungwon and jihyes past reflect their future :)
