"it's the Yang families house you better behave." Says her father before ringing the door bell
Yang ? As in Jungwon ? i haven't talked to him since that incident last week. We walk in the mansion and there he is with his dad, i'm assuming.
We lock eyes and he breaks it short after but all i could think about was what happened at sunghoons party.
- Flashback To Sunghoons Party -
Jungwon puts on a faint smile and heads out the door, Jihye follows him and grabs his wrist to stop.
"Jungwon I know that cut isn't from a simple fall, tell me what happened." He lets out a heavy sigh and takes a few steps away from her. "Gosh Jihye there's also things I don't want you to know and things I don't want to tell you. Don't cross the line"
"Hello Mr. Yang nice to see you again, this is my daughter Jihye"
She bows slightly with a smile and sneaks a glance at Jungwon who is looking at the ground
"Likewise, Mr. Park this is my son Jungwon"
He does the same Jihye does but continues to look anywhere but at Jihye
Jihye POV
I really don't know why i'm sitting here eating dinner at Jungwons house with his parents and sister or what my dad has to do with the Yang family— My thoughts get interrupted.
"You know actually Jungwon is preparing for marriage right after graduation" says Mr. Yang
"Oh is that so? Too bad he could've matched with Jihye" The whole table laughs cluelessly while Jungwon and I lock eyes, both speechless, he looks embarrassed.

"Thank you for having us over Mr. Yang I hope there will be a next time." "Likewise, I look forward to our future meetings"
Mr. Yang closes the door with a warm smile and waves us goodbye
"So what exactly is our business here?"
"They're my close friends from college, treat their family well and try to get along we'll be coming here often"

Going over to the Yangs house has become a weekly Friday night dinner gathering the same cycle of Jungwon and Jihye acting like they don't know each other, it's been a month and when they talk it's forcefully at the dinner table. She decided to give Jungwon time and trusted he would come to her when he's ready, if they were even close enough for that of course. Sunghoon and Jihye have already reconciled but there seems to be an invisible line that blocks them from going back to the old times.
Messages:
Sunghoon Jihye can we meet? Jihye yea i'll come over
She walks in awkwardly as Sunghoon, with two mugs in his hands gestures her to take a seat on the couch.
"Remember when we first met I asked about your bracelet? It was sudden huh?" "Yea I remember" anticipating what he has to say next "I have a lot to explain to you and you deserve a proper explanation, so do you think you could just listen to me fully before replying?" "As you wish."
"It was February 22nd 2016 I was walking to campus and spotted a girl, my she looked a mess I unknowingly observed from afar, just walking with a bunch of files in her hand till she suddenly drops them all causing me to run to her to help. Once we enter school i offer her water and she takes it and laughs saying "you know today is my birthday why am i at school on a saturday running stupid errands." in someway it looked like she was laughing just to cope.. and from that day on i fell for her till 2 years later she... well.. you know the rest"
Jihye looks down at her legs as tears fall from her eyes, she looks up at Sunghoon with a faint smile
"The accident she was in, the burning house, I was in there too. I hated myself for making it out alive without her, maybe if i called for help a bit earlier she would still be here with us, before I left the building she gave me this bracelet and said she hopes one day i'll be able to find the person that gifted it to her, Sunghoon is that person you?"
There was a long pause before either of them spoke or locked eyes.
"Y-yea. It's me, i'm sorry i found you and brought back a traumatizing memory"
"No, I'm glad I met you, it's a nice connection we share right? She would be happy too and she would've wanted us to find each other.

I literally keep disappearing i'm sorry omg i keep saying i'll be back blah blah but it's been idek how long since i last updated i never meant to drag out this story for this long it's just this story line is smth i've had in mind since like 2017 or so and now i find it cringe so im trying to reorganize this story but it's taking so long esp bc i get random splurges of motivation and other times i just forget about this story completely IM SORRY i'll be better.. trust..!
