I was spinning in my revolving chair idly for the nth time. Yoongi was doodling on his notepad. We hit writer's block again after managing to compose 3 songs back to back.

Folding the crumpled up paper filled with wasted lyrics, I make a paper airplane and fly it. It doesn't fly like I wanted it to and crash lands on Yoongi's notepad. He slowly starts glancing up at me like he was either done with life, or me, or both.

What he says next surprises me.

"What else can you make?"

"A crane—"

"Overrated, anything else?"

"A frog, camera....?" I'm not sure where he was going with this. Knowing Yoongi, he can come up with a song about folding papers, origami, or something of that sort.

Or he was just as bored as me and was inquiring me about my childish paper folding skills.

"Camera?" His voice got excited at the word camera, I nodded at him. I remember how, in 3rd grade, a boy who sat next to me taught me how to make a paper camera. It was functional too, you push the back part of the camera, and the lens would unfold, indicating that you snapped a photo. It still impresses me now as an adult just as much as it did when I was a kid.

I tried making one but couldn't remember the exact steps, frustrated, I turned it into an airplane and flew it towards Yoongi, who was observing me very attentively.

"It's okay, I don't remember a lot of things too." He says, trying to comfort me. "I don't remember what I ate for breakfast today."

"That's because we had brunch."

"Okay..." he nods, "I don't remember the breakfast portion of the brunch we had."

"We had black bean noodles and iced tea for brunch."

"Black beans.... they're breakfast foods."

I sit up straight and stare at him, "explain."

"Black beans, beans, they're from the same family."

"Family of?"

"Beans."

"Mind blowing."

"You know what else is mind-blowing? Beans are breakfast foods, how? An English breakfast usually consists of baked beans, so.... there you go!" He taps the temple of his head with his pointer finger, "thanks for reminding me that we had beans for breakfast."

"Thanks for providing me with such vital information."

"No problem!" He winks at me playfully.

"So.... are we gonna write a song on beans?"

"No, that was strictly a trivia. Don't merge facts with songs. It gets boring."

Okay, but what about the pending pile of songs that we have to compose?

"What about the paper thing?"

"Paper thing?" He asks, forgetting that we talked about folding papers and my talent as a paper camera maker.

"Did you already forget?"

"No, I thought we were supposed to ignore your failed attempt at making a camera."

"Go choke on your beans."

"That was dirty! You dirty, sinful creature!"

"Speaking of dirty...." I trail off, looking at Yoongi for confirmation to continue. He nods, returning the gaze.

"Should we just write a dirty song and call it a day?"

"Y/N..."

"Look, I'm out of ideas, and those are the easiest topics to write on—"

"See, that's not what we're gonna do. It has to be challenging. It has to be a struggle!"

"You know what else is challenging and struggling?"

"What?" He grips the arms of his chair and grins at me excitedly.

"Getting choked on beans."
