Delphini POV

I woke up with ringing in my ears. I took in my surroundings. I noticed that I was in the infirmary. Standing next to me was Percy, Annabeth, and Dad. When Percy and Dad noticed that I was awake, they started to hug me.

"Delphini, you're awake! I was so worried about you."

"I'm okay, you don't have anything to worry about." I reassured them.

"How long was I out?" I asked.

"Three days" Percy replied.

Three days! I couldn't believe it. Suddenly, I remembered the vision I had.

"There's some thing I need to tell you." I confessed, "I had a vision of a woman made out of flowing water. She was asking for my help. She told me to free her bonds and that I was her champion."

At the mention of the woman, Percy and Poseidon visibly paled.

"Delphini, was the woman wearing a golden crown?" my dad asked.

When I told them yes, they paled even further.

"Is there something wrong?" I asked

My dad sighed, "There's something we haven't told you yet. Do you remember your trial on Olympus? What the Fates said. They said that you were the hero of a prophecy issued before stars were born. Well, the Oracle revealed the prophecy yesterday. It goes like this.

Who was taken from her mother

and separated from her brother.

The hero who fought the Ocean titan,

and protected her own brethren.

She shall become the bound goddess's host

And defeat Death Flight's ghost

She will fight among the mightiest heroes

But face the end with the stone's' echoes.

She shall be revived by those who remain,

and fight the Mad One and victory she shall gain

Be betrayed by an unexpected one,

And be rescued by the Void's son

When her blood splatters the stones,

The God of the Depths shall raise the bones.

When the huntress draws her final breath

The greatest foe shall be brought to death."

I felt dizzy. I didn't know what to say. What did the prophecy mean? Defeat Death Flight's ghost? Face my end with the stone's echoes? Betrayed by an unexpected one?

"Do you want us break it down?" Annabeth offered.

"Sure, I have no idea what the lines mean" I replied.

"So this is what we think the prophecy is about. The first four lines are pretty straight-forward. The subject of the prophecy was taken from her mother and brother and fought Oceanus. You fit those two boxes perfectly. The next lines are pretty vague, but we think that the fifth line says that a bound goddess will pick you as her champion. The goddess that the prophecy is referring to is probably the goddess in your vision. The sixth line could mean that you will defeat the ghost of someone named Death Flight. The next four lines might mean that you will fight alongside great heroes but will die because of the stones' echoes but be revived by the ones who remain living and fight the 'Mad One'. We don't know what the next lines mean, though."

"The Quest of Thalassa's Crown." My dad suddenly said.

"The quest of what now?" I asked.

"It used to be the most important quest a demigod could receive back in the ancient times." Dad explained, "Once every century, Thalassa would pick a demigod child of Poseidon or, any demigod child with water powers to find her crown and free her."

"Why would she need to be freed?" I asked confused.

"During the first Giant War, Gaia imprisoned Thalassa to feed off her power. Thalassa's crown is the only thing powerful enough to free her. Unfortunately, when Gaia locked her away, Gaia hid her crown to ensure that no one would find it and use it to free her." Dad replied.

"So what do I have to do with this?" I asked.

"Well, during the Second Titan War, Gaia started feeding off of Thalassa's power again. During this time, Gaia took so much power from her that Thalassa almost faded. Thalassa might have gotten desperate and issued the quest to you." Dad said.

"Why me?" I questioned, "Why not Percy?"

"The quest is only issued to women. And you are the only female demigod with water powers." Dad answered.

"So, I have to go on a solo quest that nobody has ever succeeded in to help a primordial goddess who is on the verge of fading." I summed up.

"Pretty much." Percy said.

"You start the quest tomorrow morning. Thalassa's prison is underwater. It's located somewhere in the Pacific Ocean." Dad instructed, "Good luck."

After he said that, he flashed away.

"Well that narrows it down." I muttered, "Just 165.2 million square kilometres of water."

One of the Apollo campers told me that I could go back to my cabin. I walked to Cabin 3 and immediately started packing my bag for the quest.

Guess the Fates aren't done with me after all.

A/N: The first person to figure out what the prophecy means, I'll follow you and give you a dedication.
