Chapter 26

"Are you really retiring?" I ask Jimin as he rubs my legs.

"If it means your safety yes. That was nothing to laugh about. What if was hot drinks instead? No, I don't want to even think about it." Jimin says.

I rub his arm and say, "I'm ok. I wanted to throw punches but that would've been a nightmare for PR. We can spin me being a victim but if I hurt one of your fans the backlash would've been too big."

"I don't care about those fans. I want to know how they knew you were there." Hobi says still holding a grudge.

"I just got off the phone with our lawyer. He said it was another woman that was in the restaurant a few shops down. Apparently, she posted that she spoke to you wishing you congratulations. Apparently, a few of Jimin's fans were around the area and they decided to put on a show. The original woman didn't have anything to do with it she was just a well-wisher." Yoongi says.

"I'm just still pissed. Why do I have to keep explaining myself when it comes to you guys? It's not fair. People are acting like I broke up happy homes or stole someone else's man." I say clenching my fists.

"Now Jiminie is retiring because of them but I bet they are going to blame me for that shit too."

"They're not blaming you. I took a look online and the fans are in a feeding frenzy. They are trying to find out who attacked you. Jimin, saying he was going to retire, has set them off. PR has called with what they thought was a solution." Namjoon adds.

I look at Namjoon. I love it when he's all business. Sitting with his legs crossed in a business suit. I'm so far gone what am I going to do with my men. Oh, I know. I'm going to enjoy them.

"What did they want to do?"

"Well of course they don't want Jimin to retire. They have a plan mapped out for Hobi and Jimin to perform and tour together. I think it's a good idea seeing as we all can't be apart for too long without certain side effects due to our bond."

"They want to broadcast our ceremony and reception. They said we can show the fans and the world how much we're in love. This could minimize backlash and get the public on our side. " he says looking at me.

"Don't look at me like that. This isn't just my wedding. I'm surprised that they are coming to this option so late. I would've thought that this was what they wanted from the beginning."

"They sort of did mention it to Jimin and me, but we vetoed that really fast. We thought you wanted more privacy." Hobi says shrugging his shoulders.

"Look, I know who I'm with and what your jobs are. I knew I would be in the spotlight when I accepted your proposals. Broadcasting our nuptials isn't going to hurt me. Honestly, I don't care as long as I get to say I do."

What I don't say is I'm nervous about my dress choices and what the world is going to think of my nontraditional choices.

"I'll let them know that we're ok with it. Now about the bachelorette party." Joonie says looking at me.

"Don't even worry about it. Elise already called me she has changed it to everyone having dinner at her place. The last thing we need right now is another incident while we're out partying."

"Ok. I was going to offer more security."

"That would defeat the purpose of one last night out as a single woman, so Elise's plan is good." I say.

Now I just have to wonder what surprises she has instore for me.

"I still can't believe you thought a stripper would be a good idea" I say looking at Elise. Everyone has left. It was a long loud night. I soon realized that that part of the evening was for the women that were invited. She knows the thought of another man anywhere near me sexually makes me nauseous.
