Gon slept in Killua's room for 5 days before they decided to move all his stuff in there. He didn't have much, just his clothes and some recipes he usually kept in there. Gotoh also started providing them both with breakfast, Mitsuba was still his personal maid but he saw her less and less in the mornings. Then one day, Killua said something that made him jump out of his seat.

"We're going out" Gon gasped, leaping to his feet and squealing with shining eyes. "We? Like, me?" He asked eagerly. "I'm going outside?" Killua frowned slightly. "Well, yeah. But do you really hate being cooped up that much?" Gon shook his head. "No! It's just that..." He sighed "Killua I haven't left this mansion in two and a half months" Then Killua frowned down at him. "Gon...what are you doing?" He blinked, then glanced down. Gon had his wrists out in front of him and pressed together, he'd never grown out of that habit. "Oh, it's a habit. My hands just kind of do that now sometimes. Well, I was handcuffed for a pretty long time." He moved his hands, shrugging. "I stopped correcting it, it's not like it hurts me or anything." Killua huffed. "Imagine trying to explain that to a police officer, while trying not to get me arrested" Gon blinked. Oh. Well, that could be trouble.

"Anyways, get ready! We're going to a place that hasn't seen your face, but your wearing this just in case" He said, tossing Gon a black hoodie. He nodded, then turned and rifled through his wardrobe. He decided on some dark green pants, then started changing. When he was done, he glanced over his shoulder at Killua and his face instantly flushed. Killua was in the middle of changing his boxers, he was facing away so Gon couldn't see much but he stared for a few seconds too long at his ass. AHH! WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU GON! He whipped his head around as soon as he realized what he was doing, covering his burning face with his hands. His ass- Gon cut off that train of thought. "Gon? You alright?" He heard after a while. He removed his face and glanced over his shoulder again, still blushing hard. Killua was looking at him with a confused expression. "Wh-" Then he seemed to put two and two together. "Did you...watch me change?" he asked, with slight amusement.

He blushed even harder. "N-No! I just...I was done and I looked over my shoulder and...you weren't." He sulked in embarrassment, he couldn't get the image of Killua's bare back and lower body out of his head. Killua chuckled, then smirked. "I wouldn't mind giving you a closer look~" Gon's face turned as red as a tomato, he slapped his hands over his face with a cry of protest. "N-No!" He heard rustling, but his dirty mind got the best of him. Ahhh! I wanna look so bad. So he decided to peek out between two of his fingers and saw that Killua was just slipping his hoodie on. I am relieved and disappointed at the same time. "Were you actually hoping I'd do it?" He crossed his arms with a huff, looking away. "No." he wasn't hoping for it, but if it happened he wouldn't have minded. At least, that was what he told himself. "Anyways, pick somewhere you want to go"

He thought for a while on that. "A park" Gon had always loved nature and the outdoors, but he was too scared to stay outside the safety of his house for too long and never got to spend much time since he'd turned 12. He'd climb trees and swim in a stream near his old house, that was why he'd joined the swim team. Because he missed that, and thought it would be at least a bit similar. It wasn't. He nodded, "we're going to get fast food too. It's kind of addicting, but I can't afford to go out much because of who I am" Gon frowned slightly. "What's that mean?" He hesitated for a moment. "N-Nothing" Gon thought for a few seconds. I've been with him long enough, he only stutters when he's nervous or flustered. He decided to let it slide for now, he'd probably find out eventually.

He and Killua were sitting in a tree, eating fries. The park was deserted so they decided not to wear the hoods, the tree they were sitting on had plenty of footholds and comfortable places to sit. "Nature is gross" Killua grumbled. Gon giggled, then picked up a piece of bark and flicked it at him. Killua yelped, then panicked for a moment before realizing it wasn't a bug, but a piece of bark. He shot Gon a dirty look as he was laughing his ass off. "Killua, badass assassin, ripped as hell. Scared of bugs" Killua flushed a little. "S-Shut up! I grew up in a mansion all my life. There were no insects." Gon pouted. "You weren't allowed to go outside? At all?" He shook his head. "Nope. Unless for...missions" he said the last part in a half mumble. Gon's eyes widened. "Missions? That young?" He looked away, speaking quietly. "I was 6..." Gon put a hand to his mouth. S-Six? His parents made him kill people at six years old? He couldn't imagine being responsible for someone's death, but if he started that young...

Gon set down his fries on a stable branch and then leaned forward to give Killua a hug. He took a sharp startled breath for a moment, before hugging him back. Gon snuggled into his chest a little. "Being forced...against your will essentially. That young...it sounds awful." and he thought his life was bad. Killua chuckled softly. "I...got used to it I guess" That's a lie, I can hear it in his voice. But he didn't say anything, he let him get away with it. They sat in comfortable silence for a while, when Gon shifted slightly. I need to use the bathroom...we're in the middle of a deserted park. "Hey uh...Killua?" He blinked down at Gon, who had removed his face from his chest. "Yeah?" Gon blushed a little, looking away. "I gotta use the bathroom" He muttered awkwardly. He sighed heavily, then pointed. "5 minute walk that way. You have your call button if anything goes wrong" His eyes widened slightly. He's...letting me go off on my own? "Oh, alright" He slid down from the tree, munching on a few fries as he went. The bathrooms were literally just a hole in the ground covered with a shack. He wrinkled his nose slightly at the smell. Gross.

He finished, at least there was toilet paper and running water. This park was like, really low budget. He made his way back to the place where Killua was, then froze when he heard something. "Where is he?" T-that- I know that voice! Gon peered out from behind a tree with wide eyes. It was Kurapika, holding a gun, right at Killua. Killua had one too, he looked tense and focused with his usual monotone expression when he was serious. "I'll shoot if you don't answer me" Kurapika hissed. Gon put a hand to his mouth. I-I have to stop this. Killua's a criminal, Kurapika's a police officer. But...they were both so kind to me. He heard Kurapika cock his gun and he leapt out of the trees, standing between both males. "STOP!" Kurapika's eyes widened with shock and relief, Killua's sparked with slight anger and panic. "Gon! Get over here" He blinked. "H-Huh?" Kurapika spoke in a low steady tone. "I promise I'll save you. Walk over here slowly. I've got him pinned" Gon's eyes widened. Save me? But I am saved!

Gon glanced over his shoulder at Killua, who was gritting his teeth slightly. "Gon, let me shoot him." He gasped. "No! it's Kurapika!" Killua's eyes widened slightly, but he didn't lower his gun. "Put the gun down!" Killua scoffed. "Not until he does" Gon bit his lip, looking back and forth. Then he walked over to Killua. Kurapika shouted for him to stop but Gon plucked the gun out of his hands, he looked like he wanted to protest but Gon had a solid point. "he can't shoot you if I'm this close, he'd risk shooting me" Then he turned to Kurapika, who had a conflicted expression. "Kurapika, put the gun down" He took a breath, then slowly lowered his gun. Killua relaxed, then held out a hand. "Give me it back" He shot Killua a look. "I'm not going to use it, but you don't know how to hold it properly" He shrugged, then handed Killua his gun back. He slipped it back into his pocket holster thing where it was, then stared Kurapika down. "Gon, why are you still with him?" Kurapika asked slowly.

Gon blinked, then realized his hands went back to the idle handcuff position and moved them to his sides. How do I answer this question honestly without selling Killua out? "I..." He trailed off, unable to find a suitable answer. Killua huffed. "Your living at my house." He nodded. "That." Kurapika's eyes flashed. "You can't trust him" He frowned slightly. "Why not?" Killua stiffened slightly. "N-No" He whispered. Gon glanced sideways at Killua's face. He looked...scared. Kurapika's eyes narrowed slightly. "You've been with him for 2 and a half months and you don't know his last name?" No...I've never heard anyone say it. Not the maids, not his parents, nobody. "No" He said honestly, kind of confused. "He's a Zoldyck"

Gon froze. He knew that name, everybody knew that name. The most wanted criminals in japan, Silva Zoldyck and Illumi Zoldyck. Why didn't I put it together? He'd heard all sorts of things about that family, hell it was taught in school. They come from a long line of assassins, but do other things as well. Some sell spices, drugs, people, body parts on the black market. He felt tears start to roll down his cheeks. 'I can't afford to go out much because of who I am'. Everybody knows the Zoldycks, he never had a chance at a normal life. It just made his story...that much worse. "Gon, come back. You're not safe with him" Kurapika said with a reassuring look, thinking he'd finally swayed him. I'm his only friend, he can't make any because of his family, because of his line of work. But you know what? Gon turned, and wrapped his arms around Killua in a hug. I don't care. Killua took a sharp breath, he felt his hands trembling slightly. "G-Gon...why..." He smiled up at Killua. "Your last name doesn't define you. It doesn't make me see you any differently, Killua Zoldyck."
