Gon was just sitting on the bed, he didn't really have anything to do right now. Killua had been gone for about 10 minutes. He checked the calendar again. Four weeks. That was quite a lot of time now that he thought about it, and he wasn't sure what he wanted to do with that time. I guess I could...bake some more? He slid out of bed, then grabbed his apron out of his dresser and slipped it on as he made his way to his kitchen. Gon scrolled through options on his tablet as he went, then oohed a little when he landed on something called 'Death By Chocolate' He set the tablet down and grinned when he realized he had the right ingredients. Perfect.
He spent about two hours in that kitchen, the baking time was long but it would be worth it. Killua would definitely be back by now, and he would love it. Gon decided to leave his apron on as he finished, then plated the dish. It had 3 layers, all with different types of chocolate. Chocolate frosting with chocolate chips sprinkled on top, and a little bit of chocolate sauce drizzled on top. He was tempted to take a bite himself, but refrained from doing so. He went back to his and Killua's room, humming a little. Gon shifted the plate to one hand as he opened the door, then settled it back into two as he pushed it open. "Killua, I made you a-" He froze, eyes widening. Killua was sitting on his bed, and he wasn't alone. He was with a girl with blonde hair, she was wearing a frilly pale yellow dress and was currently holding his hand. W-What? Killua glanced up, then his eyes brightened for a moment before a flash of conflict went across his face. The girl glanced over at him as well, then frowned slightly.
Why the hell is there a girl in his room? Why the fuck is she holding his hand? I...I don't understand. "You're supposed to announce yourself when you enter your master's room servant" Killua tried to remove his hand from hers but she held on tightly, Gon set the cake down on the table and crossed his arms. "Killua, who is she?" Killua was about to open his mouth when she spoke. "The name's Harumi, your master's fiancé. You ought to show some respect" Gon froze. F-Fiancé? Killua managed to get his hand free and he shot her a glare. "I don't like you Harumi" Gon put on a fake smile, Harumi tried to grab his hand again. "You'll grow to love me in time" She responded. No way in hell. Gon felt like saying some really awful things in that moment, but he didn't. Instead, he bowed slightly and left. As soon as he got out of sight he dropped his fake smile, gritting his teeth as he was walking. I need an explanation. Killua...loves me. Not some girl. So...why is she really here?
"Woah, you good Freeces?" he paused at Bisky's voice, she was a few feet away. He looked away. "No." he snapped, then kept walking. Bisky hesitated for a moment, then started running after him. "What happened? You sound so frustrated" He felt a tear roll down his cheek and Bisky's eyes widened in shock. Suddenly, there were rapid footsteps. "Gon!" He paused, then turned. Killua was running down the hallway, Bisky took a step back with a worried expression. He stopped in front of Gon, and Killua grabbed his hand "I promise it's not-" Gon removed his hands and crossed his arms. "Why don't you go hold hands with Harumi instead?" he said sarcastically, tears stinging his eyes. Bisky's eyes widened in shock, Killua gritted his teeth. "Who says I wanted to in the first place?" Gon looked away. "When were you planning on telling me that you had a fiancé?" Gon wasn't sure who to be mad at right now, all he knew was that he was hurt and didn't know who to blame.
Killua scoffed. "I didn't even know until about an hour ago! Father just sprung her on me and told me she was supposed to be my future wife!" Gon wiped his eyes, arm trembling slightly. Killua grabbed his hand again, this time Gon didn't pull away. "I...I don't get a choice in this. I'm sorry, I wish I could've told you beforehand but I couldn't get her away from me for long enough to come find you and explain" Gon nodded, looking down. I...probably overreacted there. Killua's not even into girls. But...the fragile side of him had shattered when he saw them holding hands in the bedroom. "How can he give you a fiancé when your already in a relationship?" Bisky asked, she was still standing just a few feet away. Killua bit his lip, then released his grip on Gon's hand. "I...never told him about it, or my sexuality. I don't even know Harumi, never seen her before in my damn life"
Gon shifted a little. "D-Does that mean...we have to break up?" He said, in a small and slightly fearful tone. Killua's eyes widened slightly and he drew Gon closer into an embrace. "I...No. We just...can't spend as much time together anymore" Gon cried into his shoulder a little, hugging him back. Then...he got a dark thought. What if...he actually starts liking her? Gon felt a bolt of fear. I-I can't...I can't lose him. He hugged Killua back a little tighter. "Y-You won't...leave me for her right?" He mumbled faintly. Killua stiffened slightly, then tilted his chin up with a thumb to look him in the eye. "I love you, Gon. You. Not some girl I've never met before." He pressed their lips together gently, just for a moment. Then, he pulled away. "But...We'll have to move your stuff back to your old room." He nodded, wiping his eyes again. "Yeah..." Killua turned away from him. "I might have to...treat you like the rest of the servants when I'm around her." I knew that already.
Gon was sitting in his old bedroom a few minutes later, head down. Will...will we even celebrate my birthday? If this didn't get resolved within the timespan of a month, then the chances of that happening dwindled down so far it might as well be impossible. Gon wiped his eyes again for the 5th time, then his door opened. "Freeces? You weren't in-" Mitsuba gasped, then walked over quickly. "Freeces? Is something wrong?" He looked down. "Killua has a fiancé now" He mumbled. Mitsuba's eyes widened in shock. He smiled softly through his tears. "I...I just haven't gotten used to it yet." Mitsuba looked confused. "Why-" Gon wiped his eyes again and looked away. "Killua's dad made him, just this morning. I-It's fine, I'm... fine." His voice wobbled a little on the last part, he closed his eyes and breathed for a few moments. Mitsuba placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Would you like to...go spend some time with young master Alluka instead?"
He was silent for a few moments. "I...yeah. That might be nice" He mumbled. Mitsuba helped him up, then walked with him to Alluka's room. They passed the dining room on the way and Gon saw Killua and Harumi eating together. He averted his eyes, Mitsuba glanced in that direction and then walked a little faster. Eventually they made it, and Mitsuba held the door open for him. He walked in, as soon as the door closed he nearly got tackled by Alluka again. "Gon!" He smiled, "Hey Alluka" He'd noticed that she was a little more childish for her age, that she acted more like she was 10 then like she was 16. Alluka glanced up, then her smile turned to a slight frown. "Your eyes are all red, were you crying?" He led her over to the bed, then sat down. Alluka climbed onto his lap and looked him worriedly in the eye. "Your usually so much more happy" Gon looked down. "Do you...know what a fiancé is?"
Alluka blinked. "Doesn't that mean...someone you're going to marry? But like, predetermined and stuff?" He nodded. "Something like that" He murmured. Alluka still looked confused. "Ok...why?" He took a deep breath. She doesn't know yet does she? "Your brother...has one of them" Alluka's jaw dropped, her eyes widening. "B-But-" Gon shushed her gently. "He...never told your parents about us dating, so Silva gave him Harumi just this morning" Tears stung the corners of her eyes and she yelled. "NO!" Gon blinked in surprise, honestly kind of shocked. He'd never heard Alluka mad before, she grabbed his hand. "Oni-Chan's gonna marry Gon one day! He can't marry Harumi!" Gon squeezed her hand a little, with a slight sigh. "Alluka..." She buried her face into his shoulder, crying a little. "Oni-Chan would be so sad and lonely, he was crying so much when you left that one time" Gon paused, eyes widening. "W-When?" I don't think...I've ever seen him cry.
She hugged him a little tighter. "H-He yelled at mother and father. It was so loud I could hear it from my room. I escaped from Mitsuba and ran up to his room. I heard his door slam, when I went in he was crying on the bed" Gon looked down. That must have been...when he found out his parents sold me. "When I asked him why he was crying he said that you might not ever come back. I've never seen Oni-chan so scared before" She whimpered. He...was that scared? For me? Gon wrapped his arms around her, smiling softly. "We...we can work this out. I know we can. But for now...you can't mention the fact that me and him are dating" Alluka sniffled a little. "Why not? Then she might go away" Gon winced slightly. "Actually, I might get in trouble for it." She removed her head from his shoulder, a confused expression. "Why?" He sighed. "It's just...the way it works. Killua never told his parents about us, and he couldn't anyways because we don't know of his parents are homophobic or not" Alluka frowned slightly. "What's...ho....mo....phonic?" He laughed softly. "it's homophobic. Someone who... doesn't like or approve of gays or lesbians. Sometimes it goes so far as disgust and hate" He mumbled. Alluka's lips parted slightly. "But...why does it matter if big brother likes a boy?" He felt a tear sting the corner of his eye. She's so...innocent. Free from the judgment, the cruelty, the harshness of society. He held her close again. "Some people...are more accepting than others." I hope she stays that way.
