━ ✧ ❀ ✧ ━...That was the first message Lilias got upon waking up. She wiped the sleep from her eyes, kicking off her sheets as she glanced out the window.
"Rookie! Rookie dee dee~!"
A small flock of Rookidee sat outside the glass, singing their morning song as the sun rose behind them, basking the land in rays of glittering gold and orange. The faint sound of pedestrians and traffic could be heard from down below, and the creaking of Lilias's bed joined them as she sat up, typing out a reply.
"That's...fine...by...me," she read along out loud as the words appeared and skittered across her phone's screen. "Meet...you...there...at...nine?"
With the change in plans now sorted out and set, the florist finally willed herself out of bed, stumbling over to her closet. After getting a good look at her wardrobe, she made a mental note to ask Alette or Sonia to go shopping with her for new stuff before picking out a random dress and top, shuffling off to the bathroom.
Little did she know just what was in store for her...

"Lili! Over here!"
Said person smiled and nodded as Alette waved her over, the picture of comfort in her oversized knit sweater and beret. Her long blonde hair was done up in a casual ponytail, the pink streaks running throughout it accentuating the style nicely. What looked to be manuscripts were spread out on the table in front of her, but she quickly cleaned them all up as Lilias drew close.
"I know you were busy with work yesterday, but I just can't keep this in anymore!" the Kalos-born reporter exclaimed and bounced forward as her friend took a seat, her perfectly groomed eyebrows furrowing. "I have to get this off my chest now, so—!"
"—Wait! Alette," Lilias chuckled, holding out a hand. Said person immediately clammed up, her lips pursed. "I know you've got something to say, but can I get my order in first?"
"...Oh! Yeah, sorry about that," Alette apologized, rubbing the back of her neck as she settled back into her seat. You could see the energy leaving her. "Whew! Calm down, me..."
"Hehe, it seems like you've got something really interesting to share."
"Oh, you don't even know!"
The two got comfortable as a lone waitress approached, first taking Lilias's order for a croissant before writing down Alette's request for an Americano and a cake pop. The former surveyed their surroundings as the employee left, frowning as she noticed just how quiet and...vacant the whole establishment was. In fact, it appeared that the two friends were the only customers there; the cute lace patterns and pink decor of the cafe just didn't seem right in a room without people.
