(Alex)
I'm so scared. There are people everywhere. Its my first year at this school and don't know anyone. I walk through the doors and see groups of people talking and laughing. I look around, looking for the office.
Mum told me to go there and ask for Mrs Black. She'll give me my timetable. I spot a sign and follow it. As i walk into the office area, I see someone. A really cute someone. He's leaning against the counter.
He looks at me and smiles. I return the smile and look away but his image is imprinted on my eyes. His floppy brown hair, his hazel eyes and his smile.
"You're the new kid?" He asks and i look at him.
"Yeah" He holds out his hand.
"Luke" I take it, feeling a jump in my stomach.
"Alex." He lets go as a woman comes to the counter.
"Here you go Mr Patterson." She says smiling sweetly.
"Thanks." He turns to me. "Can I see your timetable?"
"Oh I dont have it yet."
"Well, I guess I'll see you around."
"Yeah." He leaves and I look back at the woman.
"Um... I'm Alex. I'm here to see Mrs Black."
"Alex... Alex Mercer?" I nod. "I'll go and get her." I nod again and as she walks away my thoughts stray back to Luke. He seemed nice, but I didn't know much about him. But that feeling I'd felt in my stomach, what was that about?
(Luke)
As I leave, I glance back at Alex. He's cute but I barely know him.
"Luke!" I hear Reggie's shout across the hall. I look up and smile.
"Hey Reg." He scans my face and then says,
"You look like you've just met a girl."
"Well, I did meet someone..."
"Ooo... Luke's got a girlfriend."
"No I don't. And besides it was a guy." He stops and looks surprised.
"are you gay?"
"No... maybe... I dont know."
"Well you have a boyfriend."
"Bobby!" I shout. Bobby comes over and Reggie says,
"Luke has a boyfriend."
"Do you?" He asks.
"No he's just... I've only met him once."
"Well its the start of something great." Bobby and Reggie snicker and I shake my head and look back towards the office. Alex has come out and he looks lost. I'm staring for one second to long. "Oh its the new kid. Alex!" Bobby shouts and Alex comes over.
"What are you... hey Alex." I elbow Bobby.
"Oh hi, Luke right?"
"Yep this is Reggie..." I say and gesture to Reggie. "and bobby. Boys this is.."
"alex we know you can't stop talking about..."
"Anyway..." I say elbowing Bobby again. "We just wanted to know how your going?"
"Um... Fine. It'll take a while to get used to this but I'll be fine." I Look at his timetable.
"We have the same class first if you want to come with us."
"Sure I guess." I glance at the boys who are looking at eachother smiling.
(Reggie)
Luke is literally setting himself up to embarrass himself. When it happens it'll be hilarious. I liked Alex, he seemed nice. He was really shy though. I mean I used to be. We start towards class and I fall back with Bobby. We talk about our Lunch plans until we reach the classroom.
"Why did you guys fall back?" Luke asks but before we can answer sir comes out of the classroom and we all fall silent. He spots Alex.
"Welcome Mr Mercer." Then he steps aside and we file in and sit down.
