*Warning Mild Swearing*
(Reggie's POV)
The bell rings for the end of the day and me, Alex and Luke decide to go practise our instruments, well I think Alex was coming to watch Luke. When they looked at eachother there was chemistry.
"Welcome..." Luke says throwing open the doors, "To the Sunset Curve practise area!" It wasn't much, a couple couches, some rock posters, a dart board and a loft area full of our junk. Luke grabs his guitar and plays the strings. I grab my bass and Alex looks around.
"This place is great."
"Its good isn't it." I say and Alex smiles and he climbs up the loft area.
"Oh I think there's am old drum set up there if you wanna get it down." Luke says.
"You play drums?" I ask plugging my bass into the amp.
"Yeah, i've been playing since I was five." Alex brings down the old drum set and starts setting it up. Luke starts practising a guitar riff him and Bobby had been working on.
"That's great Luke." I say and I glance at Alex. He's gazing at Luke. Luke looks at Alex and they both smile. They are oozing chemistry right now. I clear my throat and they both look at me embarrassed.
"Do you guys want me to leave you two alone?" Luke glares at me and I know he wants me to stop.
"There's no need." He says and continues practising while Alex looks a little confused. Luke starts telling Alex about the band and the songs we'd written. After that we got into it. Alex had gotten the drums set up pretty quickly so we started to add his drumming into the songs.
And Luke and Alex couldn't keep their eyes off eachother.
Finally I can't deal with them anymore so I say I have to go because mum needs me. They nod and I leave them alone. I can't wait to talk to Luke tomorrow.
(Luke's POV)
When Reg left, it was me and Alex alone again. I'm so nervous around him which is weird because I usually love talking to people and I don't have a problem singing in crowds but he... he was different.
I start flicking through my journal, looking for a couple songs I thought Alex would slay, even though I hadn't heard his voice yet.
"Hey Al, do you think you could sing these?" He takes the paper from me.
"Um... maybe." I pick up my guitar and play the opening chords to Bright. He looks at me and I can tell he doesn't want to.
"Take your time. Its okay." He nods and looks down at the paper. By the time he opens his mouth, its the chorus.
And rise through the night, you and I
We will fight to shine together, bright forever
And rise through the night, you and I
We will fight to shine together, bright foreverI'd stopped playing after he sang the first line. He was amazing.
"That was awesome." I say putting my hand on top of his. Alex meets my eyes.
"Really? Your not just saying..."
"No I'm not just saying that. You're incredible" He blushes and looks out the doors. He looks sad. "You okay?" I ask taking my hand off his. Maybe he didn't want me touching him. I mean its fine but...
"Yeah, Yeah I'm fine..." He pauses still gazing out the window. "Its just no one's ever called me incredible or anything before." He mumbles tears filling his eyes. He wipes them and then looks at the drums.
