Chapter 3: New Friends

It is finally lunch and I am looking for Kayleigh. I find her and see that she is sitting with Shawn, Nash, and a bunch of other guys who I do not know.

"Um hey..." I said kinda awkwardly considering I only know three people here. Well more like one, considering I don't really know anything about Shawn or Nash.

"Hey! I'm Jack..." a boy with dark brown eyes, tanned skin, and brown hair said. "...but you can call me Gilinsky." Huh I wonder why he doesn't want me calling him Jack- before I could finish my thought, another boy with super light brown hair, kinda blonde, with blueish eyes said "Hey, I'm also Jack, but you can call me Johnson." Oh that makes sense. They don't want me to call them Jack because they have the same name and it would be confusing.

"Hey Johnson, Gilinsky. I'm Ava."

"I'm Nash, you already know me." The boy with blue eyes said. Wow him and Kayleigh would be the cutest couple. "I'm Shawn. You know me too." Cool, making some progress.

"I'm Carter" a really cute Asian looking boy said. "I'm Cameron, but you can call me Cam." Another tanned boy with brown eyes and brown hair said. "I'm Matthew or Matt, aka your favorite dinosaur." A boy with blondish/ brownish hair said. "I'm Aaron." Another brown haired boy said.

"Well nice to meet you all." This is gonna be hard to remember their names considering there's so many of them, but hopefully it shouldn't be too hard.

"So guys my parents are gonna be out of town for the day, so do you guys wanna come over later?" Cam asked.

"Can't sorry I've got plans." Nash, Shawn, Kayleigh, and I said in unison.

"Woah does wittle Nash and Shawn have dates with wittle Kayleigh and Ava." Carter asked making kissy faces along with the rest of the boys.

"I guess you can say something like that." Nash mumbled.

I really like Ava, but we just met, so I don't want to go on a date so quickly. I want to take things slow, but not too slo- woah woah woah. Shawn slow down you don't even know if she likes you. My inner-conscience told me. Right, for all I know she could like, uh, I don't know, Matt?

"Shawn. Shawn. SHAWN!" Ava screamed while waving a hand in front of my face.

"Huh. Uh what?" Crap she's gonna realize I was day-dreaming. Hopefully she doesn't find out I was day-dreaming about her. Us? I don't really know to be honest.

As if on cue Cam asks "Aw is little shawnie day-dreaming about little Ava?" Crap. Ava and I both started blushing like crazy.

"Aha. So you were day-dreaming about Ava" Cam confirmed, while pointing a finger at me.

"N-no" I stuttered. Shit.

"Mhm" Cameron muttered.

RIIINGGG

The bell finally rang, signaling that lunch was over. Now just 3 more classes before I can go home and hang out with Ava.

This hang-out thing won't be a date. I just want it to be 4 people hanging out. Once I find out if Ava likes me back, then we can plan out a date. But not now. It's too early.

A/N: ok so hopefully you guys liked this chapter. I tried to make it a little longer, considering I didn't update yesterday. Sorry about that, yesterday was Easter and I was just spending time with my family. As you can see I'm trying to update daily! Tell me what you guys think about that. Also thanks for 20+ reads. I know it's not a lot, but it means a lot to me. :)
