Chapter 5: I'm Sorry

It's been a week since we saw Nash and my sister making out. What were they thinking? They hurt my best friend. I can't believe my own sister would do something like that.

Right now I'm at home on tumblr looking at really cool hair goals. I'm wearing PINK sweatpants, and a magcon hoodie, hot right?

'Hey Skype me'

Popped up on my screen. I click it and see that it's Kayleigh. Ever since the little 'incident' I've been going over to Kayleigh's house everyday, and we Skype and text all the time.

'K, but warning you, I look like a mess.'

I then click the call button to start a new video chat.

"Hey Ava! I know you've been hanging out with me a lot since Nash and all, but you don't have to. You can go live your life, I'm fine by myself." Kayleigh confesses to me.

"Aw, Kay no, I'm not gonna leave you, and plus your my best friend, so it's really fun." I reassured her.

I don't want her to feel like I'm babysitting her so she doesn't do anything stupid. I want her to know I'll be there for her whether she needs it or not.

Beep.

'Hey do you and Kayleigh wanna hang out? We can go see a movie. I'll bring Matt too if you want. :)' Shawn texts.

'I'd love to, I'm gonna ask her rn:)'

"Why are you so smiley?" Kayleigh asks looking curious.

"Oh nothing. Wanna hang out with Shawn, Matt, and I? We're gonna watch a movie" I ask Kayleigh, hoping she'll say yes.

"Yes, of course! I need to get out of the house more." Kayleigh answers.

Wait, get out of the house more? Oh my god; I have an awesome idea. Why don't we through Kayleigh a party? She'll have fun, and get her mind off things.

"Great I'll text him now." I tell her. This has to be a surprise.

'Shawn, we should through Kayleigh a party on Friday night to get her mind off things. SURPRISE HER THO. And she said yes to the movie.' I text

'Great! I'll pick you guys up at 5:) the party should start at 9:30 so we can stay up really late.' Shawn replies.

'Perfect :)' I simply reply.

"Well, what are you waiting for? Get ready!" I fake yell at Kayleigh like I'm her mom.

She giggles before saying bye and starting to get ready. Now I need to find a good outfit. Ugh. Ugh. Uh. Yeah I've got nothing.

I finally decided on some light wash ripped skinny jeans and a 'Nirvana' shirt. ( outfit above )

I put on light makeup which is just eyeliner and mascara. I take my hair out of the bun it was in and see that it's nice and wavy. I just add some hairspray and anti friz spray to make the curls last a while.

I text Shawn saying 'I'm ready, just waiting for Kayleigh'

Right on cue I hear the doorbell ring. I open it and see Nash standing out there.

"Ugh. If you're here to see my sister, she isn't here." I say in an annoyed voice. How does he even have the nerve to come here?

"Actually, no. I came here to see you." Nash corrects me. Oh my god. What?

"Well, you're here so what do you want?" I ask even more annoyed.

"I wanted to apologize." He says. What? Why is he apologizing to me?

"Well, guess what? Your apologizing to the wrong person. Goodbye." I was about to shut the door in his face, but he pushed it open.

"Listen, I know your mad about what I did, but I have a good reason. I swear" Nash said.

"Okay. You have 2 minutes. Go." I said, setting a timer on my phone.

"Okay, so after I asked you guys to hang out I walked to class. Before I got in someone pushed me against the wall. I looked at the person and didn't recognize who it was. He says that his name is Dylan and that I should back away from his girl-" wait Dylan, they broke up months ago. What the hell?

"-and I realized he was talking about Kayleigh, I got so mad that she didn't tell me she had a boyfriend, so I kissed your sister, but she took it too far. We didn't sleep together though."

The timer went off ages ago, but I let him continue. "Um, Nash. Hate to break it to you, but Dylan broke up with Kayleigh months ago, for Britney." I awkwardly told Nash.

"WHAT?!?!" Nash screamed. Wow, he really didn't know?

"Nash, I'll help you get your girl back, be here at 10PM" I told Nash. I was gonna set them up.

"Also, explain this to Shawn, tell him I told you too." I added.

"Ava, what is Nash doing here?" I turn around and see Shawn and Kayleigh. I gave Kayleigh the 'I'll explain later' look and told Shawn and Nash to come with me.

They come into the kitchen with me while Kayleigh waited in the living room.

"Shawn, Nash is going to explain to you his side of the story. Don't interrupt him and put yourself in his shoes." I explain to Shawn.

Nash explains everything to Shawn while I go and check up on Kayleigh. I walk into the living room and see Kayleigh sitting on the couch, while Amy is talking about Nash.

"Amy, what do you think you're doing?" I ask Amy, very angry.

She gives me a confused look before saying "What? I'm just talking about my boyfriend."

"BOYFRIEND?" Nash, Kayleigh, Shawn, and I scream. By now they've walked in to the living room.

"Yeah, come on babe lets go watch a movie upstairs or something." Amy says while looking directly towards Nash.

"Woah. Woah. Woah. Um Amy? We were never dating. We kissed a few times, but that's it. There's only one girl I love, and sorry, but it's not you." Nash says. Normally I'd be mad at someone saying that to my sister, but right now she deserved it.

"Ugh. Of course you would go for her. She's pretty, has long legs, blond hair, blue eyes." Amy says.

"Amy, Nash doesn't just like her for her looks, she actually took the time to get to know Nash, instead of making out with him right when they first meet." I tell my sister.

"Wow. And I thought you were my sister." Amy says. Disappointed.

"I could say the same. Guess we're both on the same page." I replied back. I still can't believe she would do that.

"Well at least I have a good fashion sense." Amy says to me smirking.

"Great for you, but walking around the house in your underwear, being desperate for guys, isn't exactly 'fashionable' " I reply smirking wider.

She gives me a dirty look and walks away. Wow. Intense much?
