Chapter 4: Hurt

We just finished volleyball practice.

It's time to hang out with Kayleigh. To be honest I'm really nervous about hanging out with Shawn. I mean I like him, but I don't know if he likes me back, so I have to be really careful about how I come off as. ( if that makes sense )

"Earth to Ava" Kayleigh says waving a hand in front of my face.

"Huh? Uh. Sorry. Just thinking. I guess." I quickly replied. Well shit.

"I asked if you were nervous about hanging out with Nash and Shawn?" She asks.

Well fuck, of course I'm nervous, I'm hanging out with a really hot guy, who I really like.

"Yeah. A little bit." I didn't want to waste my breath on explaining everything, because since she's my best friend she'll figure it out on her own.

"Nash's eyes though. I mean how could they be so blue?" She's asks cutting me off in the middle of my thoughts.

"I know right! Seriously if I ever had those eyes I wouldn't be surprised if I saw guys lining down my door." I respond. But honestly though. His eyes are SOO blue.

"Yeah so what's your favorite thing about Shawn?" She asks. I start blushing like a mad woman. I swear I looked like Miranda's red lipstick. (Any mirfandas out there? )

"I really like everything about him, but I love his smile. Cheesy right?" I reply. It's true though. No matter how cheesy it sounds, his smile is perfect, and I love everything about him.

"..." Before she could respond the doorbell rings.

"Well damn." Who could that be? For real. I wasn't expecting anybody. I mean I know that we're going to hang out with Shawn and Nash later, but other then that, no plans.

I open the door to see the one and only. Britney Wales.

"Okay. Look. I saw Shawn checking you out earlier and let me tell you. Back off he's mine." Britney starts. Wow. It's been what 5 seconds? And she's already a bitch.

"Okay first of all, he isn't property, you can't own him. And second of all who invited you into my house? Because last time I checked, it sure as hell wasn't me." I respond smirking.

"Well listen here bitch. I honestly don't care what you think, but I will get Shawn to love me." she responds sassily.

"Slut, if you don't care about what I think, you wouldn't cake your face with makeup. Oh and by the way, Shawn wouldn't love you he's not into the slutty, Barbie type." I reply with even more sass.

"OHHHHH" Multiple voices scream. I turn around and see my mom, Amy, Mike, and Kayleigh standing there smirking.

"Ugh." And with that Britney leaves, but not without shoving her chest in my brother's face, first.

"Well damn. That girl needs to get a life." Kayleigh says. We both start laughing.

"Hey. She's pretty hot." Mike interrupts.

"Mike, of course you would think that, she's the school slut, and you were the school player, but now you're not. You've changed. And now you have a pretty epic girlfriend, so if you ever date that hoe, I swear to god I will strangle you." I tell Mike.

I mean he really does have an amazing girlfriend. Plus, I don't think Ariana, his girlfriend, would be happy to know that he called another girl hot.

I mean she's not the clingy type, but still, if she found out that her boyfriend was checking out another girl, she would be pretty pissed. I mean who wouldn't.

"Ava, it's time to go to Nash's" Kayleigh says. Well fuck. I'm extremely nervous.

10 minutes later we are parking in front of Nash's house.

Shawn texted us the address a little while ago, and Kayleigh was telling me the directions.

We are about to walk into his house, but first Kayleigh had to "fix herself up"

Knock. Knock. Knock.

Crap.

Was the only thing going through my mind before the door swings open.

"Hey guys! Ava." Shawn says.

"Hey" Kay and I both say at the same time.

"Well Nash is waiting in the living room" Shawn moves over and holds the door open for us to walk in. Aw what a gentleman.

We walk in and see Nash on the couch eating, ANOTHER GIRL'S FACE?

WHAT.

Crap. Kayleigh.

I turn around and see that Kayleigh's face is red. She's about to burst into tears.

Before I can react, Kayleigh is out the door and running down the street.

Before I could run after her Shawn says to Nash "Way to go man, you lead a girl on, invite her to your house to let her see you making out with another girl."

Took the words right out of my mouth.

The girl looked up innocently. I swear to god I was about to punch her in the face-wait what? That girl is Amy. My sister. HOLY FUCK.

"AMY?!?!" I scream without thinking.

"Wait you too know each other?" Nash asks dumbfounded. Wow Nash. You make out with a girl not even bothering to learn anything about her. Low.

"Yeah, she's my sister." Amy and I both say at the same time.

"I can't believe you would do that. Especially to my best friend." I yell at them before running out of the house to look for Kayleigh.

We've been looking for hours. We as in me and Shawn. Nash and my sister didn't even have the heart to look for the one they hurt. By now they're probably already fucking.

"Wait. The park." I remember when Kayleigh and I were little, every time we were upset, we would go to the park. A specific park. In the woods.

We finally arrive at the park. I see blond curly hair. I run up to the girl and turn her around. It's Kayleigh.

"Aw Kayleigh. I know it hurts now but don't worry, we'll find you someone better. Then Nash will see what he's missing out on." I reassure her.

"And plus remember my saying, if boys hurt you they aren't worth your time or tears?" She smiles after I say that.

"If it makes you feel any better Ava told Amy and Nash off before coming to look for you." Shawn adds.

"Thanks guys. You're right. I'm gonna find another guy who will treat me better then that douche." Kayleigh replies confidently.

A/N: ok guys I tried to make this chapter much longer! Over a thousand words! And I felt this story was really boring and wasn't getting to the point so I added some drama. Also I PROMISE you I will be spending more time on my chapters, and I will make them longer.
