Yamaguchi had noticed.
He always found himself in the middle of his two childhood friends, he could proudly claim that he knew them better than anyone else, so of course he would've noticed the shift of air between you two.
Tsukishima seemed somewhat nicer, and you seem to remain the same, the two of you look like a proper couple now, it's scaring Yamaguchi, having an friendship crisis as he finds two of his best friends that he knew were bound to be together actually getting together.
As mentioned, Yamaguchi knew the two of you better than anyone, he didn't need to see for himself as he knew where both of your feelings lay.
It was just an question of when, when are you guys finally going to get together.
He was just a bit taken back that it happened so quickly and silently that he can't believe he missed it, if he hadn't been observing the two of you more often, he wouldn't even have noticed.
It's not like there were any big changes, nor could he confirm that the both of you were in an relationship, but you guys were definitely heading in that direction.
The exchange between you two seems much more calm, it seems more relaxed and natural, it's mundane enough to make him second guess everything that Tsukishima does for you.
But he kept his mouth shut, knowing better than go prying into his friends love life, also having full confidence and trust that the both of you would break the news to him when the time is right.
So he stayed in the middle, feeling like the third wheel he was destined to be.
"W-what!? You're going to have training camp this week?" You question a little frantically as Tsukishima stood from his chair and headed to the food hall.
"Yeah, coach wanted us to get in a little extra practice since we have another tournament coming up" he replied as he stuff his hands in his pockets while slowing down his pace to accommodate yours.
"Then that means you'll be busy the whole week of Easter holiday?" You question.
As March is almost coming to an close, Easter is approaching, bringing back the warm springy smell of soil and new grown tree branches, the changing of leaves are presenting the always anticipated sakuras that are blooming beautifully this season as on schedule.
You had wanted to drag Tsukishima along on a date to see the pink bubbly flowers, but hearing this news had disrupted all of your plans you had initially planned, despite not having his approval on it.
"Do you need something from me this holiday? I would prefer if you'd stay home and get to studying your shitty math" he scoffs while you whine at the way he insulted your incompetence towards the tedious subject.
"I-I just thought..." you were finding words to make it sound less embarrassing, but of course Tsukishima wasn't going to let the chances of you embarrassing yourself slip away.
