The Escape

King F/n still fearful of his daughter's life, did then and there decree that every crowbar  in the kingdom should on that very day be melted. So it was done.

Villagers tossed in crowbars of all shapes and sizes into a burning bonfire. The flames reached the height of the tallest tower in the kingdom as it spread to every inch of metal in the tools. As this was happenning, the Birds of prey waited feverishly in the tea room. Oh who am I kidding they were chilling out at a Pizza hut in their civvies. Selina hung upside down on their booth chair with pizza hanging out of her mouth, Helena was fully laying down on the cusionned bench and Dinah was trying to look respectable but was failing miserably as she was slumped in her seat and drinking sprite so slowly that it barely looked like she was drinking but instead was licking a straw. 

Dinah sighed, looked up and said 

''So what should we do?''

''I dunno I think its weird that other pizza places dont have cheese crust so I think we could ask them about it. It's like they have a personnal vendetta against cheese crust.'' said Helena 

Selina rolled her eyes as she sat up normally ''Not that, she means the kid who got cursed and is going to die when she's 18''

They all went silent at the bold statement

''Oh. Right, that'' Helena said awkwardly

''Well our lives are hell right now''

''We could give her like a helmet for protection of something.''

They contemplated this idea for a moment but that was enough time to figure out that it was a frickin dumb idea.

''You do know that the joker could just take off her helmet and hit her anyways. That's a dumb idea H''

Helena rolled her eyes and said

''Well gee thanks Lady fishnet stockings but do you have any other ideas?''

Dinah let out an audible grunt at this comment. Out of nowhere Selina looked as if a lightbulb had just gone off in her head.

''Guys i got an idea!''

She said those words loud enough that everyone in the dinner looked at them strangely.

''Maybe we should go back to the cave''

''yeah''

''agreed''

They placed enough money on the table to play and headed to the nearest zeta tube. which turned out to be an old telephone booth.

As they entered the cave they were attacked with hugs from many many dogs. The women fell down at the immense weight of the furry creatures.

They got up and pet the dogs before turning to the living room. 

''All right whats your idea?'' Said Helena

''Well Joker would never hear of some random duchess getting raised by three innocent damsels in a cottage in the woods''

''Ohh those ladies are so nice!'' Said Huntress as they were now in their uniforms

The other ladies looked at Huntress like she was dumb

''Who are they?''

''Turn  around''

Black Canary turned their niforms into beautifully vintage dresses

*Dinah's dress*

*Helena's dress*

*Selina's dress*

''Us!?''

''What?! We can't do that!''

''I mean we could I guess'' 

 ''But that wouldn't be right, we aren't the child' parents, the Duke and Duchess are.''

''Well yeah but it would keep all of them safe''

They looked ay each other in unsertainty as they huddled around the computer to look over the joker's file. 

''He'll do anything to get what he wants. I hate to say this but this is our best bet.''

So the Duke and his Duchess watched with heavy hearts as their most precious posession, their only child, disappeared into the night.

Many sad and lonely years passed by for Duke F/n and his people. But as the time for the princesses sixteenth birthday drew near, the entire kingdom began to rejoice. For everyone knew that as long as the Joker's domain, Crime Alley, thundered with his wrath and frustration, his evil prophecy had not yet been fulfilled.
