(Note for Chapter 4 : GUYS THEY WERE ONLY  IN THEIR UNDERWEAR NOT NAKED LOLILOL AND IT WAS ONLY BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T BRING SWIMMING SUITS)

First date

We ended up spending the whole day at the lake.
Not only did we both learn basically everything about each other, but this date was honestly really fun.
I don't know if we could call it a date yet though, since we're not technically dating. But I would definitely say yes if he asked.
Sometimes I just look up at him and I don't even notice how long I end up staring at him.
When we got out of the water, his hair was all wet and tangled, and I watched him try to run his fingers through it.
After swimming, we laid on the sand for a while, and I could see how the sun softly played on his skin, making it a more caramel-golden-ish.
His eyes were shining brighter than usual, turning greener when he looked into the water.
His freckles seemed to be getting darker, and I noticed how he had a few on his back too.
I wish we could have stayed there a little longer, but when we saw how the sky was starting to look pink, we decided it was time to go back.
We got dressed and started walking home.
We were standing really close to each other, and I had no idea whether I was supposed to take his hand or not.
I saw him looking at me, and he softly took mine.
It was perfect.
The sky was becoming purple, I had just spent a whole day at a divine lake, and I was walking back home holding hands with Camilo.
I was happy.
I started thinking a lot about today and yesterday.
He was the one who had taken me to see Las Velas and the lake. Was I supposed to invite him somewhere too?
I had no idea where, since I didn't really know Madrigal. But I really wanted to surprise him like he surprised me, and take him to a special place.
As soon as we got back home, I ran to Mirabel and talked to her about it.
"Um... There's this sort of restaurant that he loves. You could take him there?"
She describes a cute food place in the village that Camilo adores.
"They make arepas, bandeja paisa, ajiaco, changua... Make sure he doesn't get friche, he loves it, but he has trouble digesting it."
I laugh and thank her. I'll probably take him there tonight.
But I remember that I have to tell Nina, who I haven't seen since yesterday.
I look for her for a while, muttering "où est-ce qu'elle est..." ("where is she...") and Dolores taps on my shoulder.
"I heard her cleaning your room" she says in a squeak.
I widen my eyes and thank her too.
I hate it when she starts cleaning, it means she's upset about something.
I run back home and go upstairs.
"What are you doing?"
"Je nettoie un peu." ("I'm cleaning up a bit.")
"I could have done it myself."
She looks at me up and down.
"T'étais où?" ("Where were you?")
"Au lac." ("At the lake.")
She smirks and adds:
"With who?"
I don't give her an answer, because I know that she doesn't need one.
"I'm planning on taking him out tonight." I tell her.
"Bold." She replies.
"As friends! At least for now."
She laughs and goes downstairs.
"I heard they're also having some sort of town party tonight. It might be fun for you guys."
I nod.
"Perfect. I'll go tell him."
She smiles and goes back to tidying up.
"Are you okay though?"
She nods vigorously and I smile back.

Camilo's POV

When Julie knocked on Casita's door, Dolores burst into my room and whispered:
"Come down, she's going to ask you out."
My cheeks go red and I push her aside.
"Don't always ruin surprises like that!"
I run down the stairs, and I see her talking to Mom.
When she sees me too, she smiles and waves her hand.
"It's going to be extremely fun for him, I'm sure." Mom tells her.
She notices me too, and leaves us alone.
"Hi" I smile.
"Hi, I was going to offer something." She starts. "Would you like to go to the restaurant tonight?"
My heart starts beating faster and I nod.
"It's already dark outside though. We may want to leave now?" I say.
She looks down at her dress and mutters : "But I don't want to go out looking like this."
Her hair is still all tangled and her dress is wrinkled, but I think she looks adorable.
From what she told me today at the lake, I learned that she can be very self-conscious, especially about her looks, and I softly sigh.
"You look perfect, but you can ask Dolores to help you get ready if you want."
She smiles and Dolores appears behind us.
"Come with me" she says, taking her hand.
I look at her being dragged up the stairs, and I chuckle.
I might want to get ready too.
