Narrator's pov

A human was just relaxing when a knock on their door startled them before then went and opened it to see a small skeletal-snake.

It had a beautiful purple tail and was wearing a fluffy white jacket. The human looked around and saw no one around so hurried they picked it up and brought it inside.

The human knew nothing about its kind but they were willing to learn to keep it safe.

This happened years ago and everything was going fine.

Y/n's pov

I woke up to the sound of birds and cross downstairs making breakfast. I went downstairs and cross waved at me as I waved back.

"Good morning y/n! How did you sleep?"

"I slept fine."

I said sleepily and went towards him and saw him wearing one of my shirts that I laid out.

He giggled before pulling me into a hug that was a little bit too tight but it was fine.

After he let go of me I noticed he had a purple hue on his face.

"Hey y/n,"

"What is it cross?"

"Can we go to the park? I want to show you something."

"Uh,sure."

I responded confused and went back up stairs to change into something different and a good 10 minutes later I went back downstairs to see a giddy cross.

We left the house and headed to the park where cross they led towards an opening where we continued to walk for another few minutes before reaching a cave entrance.

"Uh cross, why are we at cave?"

"It's in the cave, trust me this won't take too long!"

He slithered into the cave as I followed him. Soon it felt like ages and the light from the sun disappeared leaving me lost.

"U-Uh cross where are you-!"

He lifted me into his arms as we continued going further and further finally stopping where I saw slight bits of light.

"We're here!"

He set on my feet as I looked at what surrounded the room. It was my belongings, clothes, and other things that I owned.

I was too stunned to form any words as the end of his tail began to wag quickly before the rest of the tail wrapped around me.

He licked my cheek as I muttered incoherent words before a sudden feeling of tiredness washed over me and as my eyes drooped he giggled.

"You cared for me, now it's time I take care of you my dear."
