A Job in the City of Love ( a Rowen fanfic)

A scary Truth

Narrators POV: 

The beginning of the Ball was there.  At the first sight it looks like that what you would think of an Ball that happens in the City of love. Only Lovecouples entering the museum. Everyone married with there Partners. There are laughter and dancing. Beautiful music and more but if you would look deeper and longer there is something that change in this sight. Also Romeo and Wendy discovered that. 

Wendy Pov:

"hey Wen. Do you recognise also something strange" I hear Romeo asking while I'm looking around with a little shock which I don't want to let other see. I'm looking to him and just nod. "I't feels like there is no Love here." I whisper to him. Everytime when I look around the only thing I see is People talking to each other ignoring there partners. Also just serious expression except a few who give a fake smile sometimes. Every kiss or even bodycontact feels like that they have to because they don't wanna let them find out that it's not true. It gives me Goosebumps in a bad way and when I'm looking to Romeo it seems like I'm not the only one who feels that way. Thenit suddenly came behind us. A voice. "So you have recognised it. The dark side of the City of Love." We both shrieked in surprise as the Mayor standing there giving us both a warm smile. "OH I'm sorry. did I suprised you two?" he asks us. After a short  little break Romeo and I switchin eye contact and beginn to giggle a bit. "Well yes you did but thats not a problem" Romeo says to him. Thank god he is here with me. If I would be alone here it would be difficult for me to answer. He sits down to us "You have to know. A lot of high names come here in this city because this place is a good Point to drive fly or walk to other city's. Also here are a lot of other business people so they can trade sell and buy. Thats lucrative sothey faking there love and so they can stay here. I mean you can't proof that they are not in love. " Again Romeo and I are switching short eye contact feling a bit unease by that comment. "Well you see here many Ladies and Gentelmen drinkin, being depressed or bored because they don't have a partner who's paying attention to them even if that is the main reason of this Citys and such events. Sadly theyre main reason is a good transaction. Disgusting." We nod "Well thats true. But why do you give such events if its just like that?" Romeo asks again. I have to confess that I'm a litle confused about it too. "Well they apply for such events. And thats why everytime we have a ball like this I give at least one event for the whole City so the ones who love each other can come and have fun together and the main reason why this City exist is protectet." I can't help but to smile. he's such a cute little gramps with a pure heart.

Romeos POV:

I have to say I like the mayor  and feeling a bit bad for having that masquerade but we do it for Bisca and Alzack. Well if I'm honest to myself I don't know how I feel about Wen. I do like her a lot. But is it as friend or do I even love her. Thats what I'm unsre of. I enjoy every moment wit her thats for sure. My Goal is to find out in these days until we go back. "Romeo is everythink ok?" I hera Wen say with a concerned attitude in her voice. I look up and reallising that I starred at her the whole time while I was in thoughts. The mayor left us alone again. Shit when did he left. ANd now Wendy is looking concerned too man give her an answer. "W-Well yeah I'm fine. I was just spacing out in thoughts" I'm glad that I could respond calm and seeing her relaxing and smilling again. "Do you wanna dance?" I asking her with hope. On one hand to change the subject on the other hand because it would be fun dancing with her but to my dissapointment she speaks the truth while saying we should stay to look if somethings happen because ALzack and Bisca can't so we're the only left to watch out. 

Narrator Pov:

The Evening goes on. A lot of sad faces and money exchanging words later its two O'clock am and the Ball is over. Wendy and Rome sitting on a bench outside of the museum waiting for Alzack and Bisca. A tired Romeo letting his head rest on Wendys shoulder who's fondle his hair and there both  enjoying the near to each other while waiting. After 10 minutes Alzack and Bisca come out with are smilling mayor . They making there way to the train where the mages changing out there expressions of the evening with a cold face and when Wendy asks Alzack why he is smilling so brightly about it he answers while looking to his wife that he would now be able to enjoy the true love that will be shared even more. That answer made everyone blush except for Alzack. When they arrived everyone falling in there bed as soon as possible. ALzack and Bisca falling asleep fast  while cuddling and the same happens again with Romeo and Wendy.
