NINE

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Taehyun dove, his arms extended outwards to catch the brunette before he fully smacked against the ground. Luckily, he made it just in time to get his arms under the unconscious brunettes head and upper back, scraping up his arms in the process but he was okay. Taehyun could handle a little scrape on his elbows and knuckles. Huening Kai wasn't far behind and was quick to get down on his knees to see how bad the brunettes condition really was. To say he was shocked, would be a major understatement as his eyes filled with tears.

"H-Hyungs! He's hurt! We need to get him to a hospital! I-It's really bad! There's blood everywhere!" The tall brunette rushes out, panicked as tears gently rolled down his face.

The two eldest boys rushed over to them as worry warped through their bodies at the sight of the unconscious, badly wounded brunette. Yeonjun was quick to notice how careful and gentle the two boys were as they carefully inspected the unconscious boys wounds. He could tell immediately, just how much they cared about the boy. Soobin pulled out his phone and called an ambulance to their location, knowing that they wouldn't be able to tend to his wounds on their own.

"The ambulance will be here soon. We can follow them to the hospital later." Soobin spoke and Huening Kai sent him a small, teary glare.

"No, I'm going with him. Taehyun is too."He spoke as if it was already set in stone and to him it was. Soobin wanted to fight back, since he didn't think it was a good idea however Yeonjun spoke before he could even open his mouth.

"Alright. You two go with him, we'll answer the doctors questions." And as the pinkette said this, sirens blared down the street and soon enough the ambulance was right beside them. The paramedics were quick to assess the situation and immediately took action. Taehyun and Huening Kai stepped back in order to let the paramedics do their job and watched as they put a respirator on the unconscious brunette and set up an IV. They stayed quiet until one of the paramedics walked up to them.

"Who's coming with him?" The man asked and almost instantly the two maknaes rushed into the back of the ambulance.

"We'll meet you guys at the hospital." Soobin stated and the man nodded before getting in the ambulance and driving off with his partner, the unconscious brunette, and their two maknaes. He turned towards the pinkette only to find him rushing down the road to the car they were about to 'borrow'.

"Are you coming or what- Kai will kill us if we're too far behind." Yeonjun said as he got into the car, and hot-wired the engine. Soobin was quick to get into the car as well and just as he clicked his seatbelt, Yeonjun sped off towards the hospital.

The drive to the hospital was nerve wracking for the two maknaes as they watched they unconscious friend get a breathing mask put on him and an IV injected into his arm. It seemed to be taking longer than usual, and they didn't want to watch the brunette suffer. But they also knew that doing this was going to help him. The two maknae's hated seeing the brunette look so hurt and broken, but they knew they wanted to help him and that meant watching him get better even if it looks like its hurting him.

Yeonjun and Soobin were right behind the ambulance as they arrived at the hospital. Yeonjun parked the car as he skidded to a stop. It wasnt the best parking job but that wasnt really the main focus right now. The two boys jumped out of the car and ran to their maknae's who were getting out of the ambulance. Huening Kai looked like he was going to cry and Taehyun was trying his best to keep the younger calm as they rushed behind the paramedics. Beomgyu was unconscious, as they wheeled him into the hospital on the gurney.

The four boys followed until they were told to wait and sat down in the waiting room.

Three hours had passed before someone finally came out to speak to the four boys. Yeonjun shot up as he noticed that the other boys had fallen asleep. The doctor walked out with a serious expression on his face and a small frown on his lips. Yeonjun was not prepared for what the latter had to say, he was only hoping that it wouldn't be too horrible. He knew that Huening Kai and Taehyun would love some good news right about now, or whenever they woke up.

"Are you the family of Choi Beomgyu?" The Doctor asked and Yeonjun froze for a moment.

"I'm uh actually his fiancée. His parents aren't in the picture." Yeonjun lied and the doctor gave him an understanding look before nodding.

"Well, my name is Kim Seoyoon, but you can call me Dr. Kim." Dr. Kim paused as he shook the pinkette's hand. "I have good news, and bad news. Which would you like to hear first?"

"Uhm the bad news." Yeonjun replied and Dr. Kim nodded.

"His wounds are very severe, resembling that of someone who was hit by a car or crashed a motorcycle. He needed over four thousand stitches in total for his wounds. And he lost a lot of blood." Dr. Kim stated, before showing Yeonjun the notes he had taken on the brunette's condition.

"And the good news?" Yeonjun inquired.

"He's going to make a full recovery. You four probably saved his life by calling the ambulance when you did. If he had lost more blood, I'm afraid we could have lost him." Dr. Kim responded and the pinkette let out a breath of relief.

"So, when can we see him?" The pinkette questioned lightly and the doctor chuckled lightly at him before patting his shoulder.

"You and your friends may see your fiancée whenever you'd like. His room number is 553." And with that the doctor walked away, chuckling to himself.

"Fiancée?" Yeonjun jumped at the sudden sound of Soobin's voice. His ears began to burn as he flushed a dark shade of pink.

"U-Uh yeah? I mean no!" Yeonjun stuttered. "It was the doctor, he wanted to speak to Beomgyu's family and we're not his family so I had to make something up on the spot and that's the first thing I could come up with." Soobin chuckled.

"Don't worry Yeonjun. I get it. What did the doctor say?" Soobin asked, and suddenly Hueningkai and Taehyun both shot up from their sleeping positions.

"The doctor? What did he say?" Hueningkai rushed out as he groggily looked around. Yeonjun chuckled lightly at the younger before letting out a small sigh.

"Bad news is, his wounds were very severe, and he needed over four thousand stitches to suture all of them. And he lost a lot of blood." The pinkette paused and the two youngest nodded, feeling helpless and angry that they didn't find the brunette before he got hurt.

"But, the good news is, he's going to make a full recovery. Dr. Kim said that we saved his life, because if he lost any more blood than he already did, we could have lost him." Yeonjun finished and Hueningkai smiled, glad that his friend was going to be okay.

"When can we see Beomgyu?" Taehyun questioned and the pinkette smiled lightly, knowing that they'd like the answer.

"Dr. Kim said we could see him whenever you three woke up. He's in room 553." And with that, the four boys began making their way to the brunette's hospital room.

The eldest of the group hushed the two youngest as they entered the brunette's hospital room. The brunette looked to be asleep, and they'd be right about that. He had been sedated in order for the doctor to suture his wounds and help with administering the pain medication. The four decided that they would wait until the brunette woke up, and so they grabbed chairs from around the room and placed them around Beomgyu's hospital bed so they could be there for him when he woke up.

Hueningkai sat beside the brunette's head and rested his head on his arms as he watched the brunette sleep. He looked a lot better than he did before. He was clean, and he looked as though he wasn't in pain anymore. Which was a relief to the younger. Taehyun was right beside Hueningkai, resting his head on Hueningkai's shoulder as he tried to get more sleep. Meanwhile Soobin and Yeonjun had placed themselves near the foot of the bed, as a way to both keep an eye on the three younger boys and to make sure no one came into the room that could be a part of why Beomgyu was so hurt.

Slowly but surely, the four boys began to succumb to their fatigue and one by one began falling asleep. As they fell asleep, the doctor and a nurse came in to check up on the patient and were shocked to see the four boys sleeping around the brunette, as if they were trying to block him from any more harm. And they would be right about that, but they didnt need to know.

Maybe Beomgyu was right. Maybe he should listen to his heart this time. Or maybe the four thieves would just have to make him realize that he was now stuck with them.

Not that he would mind though.
