Song for the chapter: Pancakes for Dinner— Lizzy McAlpine

On their way back from the first task, Fred and George insisted that Bianca and Juniper must attend the party Gryffindor was hosting. Lee seemed indifferent on the matter, as per usual. Juniper of course wanted to go and told Bianca she must come to this party.

"Don't you think Hufflepuff will be hosting their own party?" Bianca asks as they climb the hill back to the school.

"Who cares about them? You're a Gryffindor at heart," Fred grins. "Plus we're the ones with the fire whiskey."

"This man, though an idiot, makes a good point," Juniper nudges Bianca.

"Okay fine, but let me talk to Cedric first," Bianca caves.

Once the group arrives at the castle, they go their separate ways to get ready for the party. Juniper goes straight to their dormitory to start her hair and makeup while Bianca hangs in the common room hoping Cedric will show up. There was a fourth-year girl in there named Amy Jones who also seemed to be waiting for someone.

"Hey Amy," Bianca grins deciding to make conversation with the girl who was standing there awkwardly. "You waiting for someone too?"

"H-hi Bianca," she stutters tucking her straight brown hair behind her ear. She wore large clear glasses and her tanned skin was littered with freckles. She was beautiful in an unconventional way, but beautiful nonetheless. "I'm just waiting for my friends to get back. They're waiting to see Cedric."

The girl seems annoyed by this which makes Bianca smile. "So they're the ones holding him back huh?"

"Oh uh... I mean maybe not. They wouldn't try to like get with him or anything. Everyone knows he has a thing with you," she rambles nervously. She didn't want Bianca to be angry with her friends.

"Oh no! Cedric and I are just good friends," Bianca explains. "I was only teasing. So is there going to be a party here tonight?"

"No, no one's really in the mood for celebrating. You know Cedric got hurt and placed last and all."

"Oh, understandable."

"I wish we were hosting though. The last one was so fun. Seamus Finnigan came and-" the girl stops again as if she said too much. She was a nervous girl, Bianca had noticed in the little time they had been speaking.

"Well there's a party in the Gryffindor common room if you guys feel like it," Bianca offers with a small smile. "I'm sure Seamus will be there."

Amy's face goes slack at Bianca's comment. She opens her mouth then closes it a few times, searching for a response. The door to the Hufflepuff common room swings open and Cedric walks through. Not far behind three girls and a boy follow, these must be Amy's friends.

"Oh- well- those- yeah I gotta go," Amy stutters, then pushes her glasses further up her nose. "Maybe I'll see you at the party- er uh yeah."

The girl shuffles off to meet her friends and Cedric makes his way over to Bianca. There's no evidence of the dragon burn from what she can see. He has changed into different clothes though, the dragon must have ruined the others.

When the boy's close enough Bianca engulfs him in a hug. "I'm so glad you're safe."

"Me too," Cedric breathes. He smells like smoke and burn cream which causes Bianca to wrinkle her nose.

She pulls back so she can look at the boy. "How're you feeling?"

"The best I can after getting burnt by a dragon and losing the first task. Guess I'm lucky to not have been burnt too bad, Madam Pomfrey says I'll make a full recovery. And I got this," Cedric grins as he holds up the golden egg.
