Chapter Thirty

When Bianca is released from the hospital wing, it's nearly time for the end of the year feast. She still has to pack though, so she heads up to Hufflepuff common room.

She smiles sadly at the couches by the fire place where she and Cedric would spend so much time together. Just a few nights ago they were there, Bianca comforting Cedric while he prepared for the final task. Bianca quickly looks away before it becomes too painful.

She hurries up to her bedroom. When she enters Cassie and Juniper are both sitting on Juni's bed. They were talking quietly and looked up when Bianca entered.

"Sleeping beauty has awoken," Juniper teases. Her tone was off though, no doubt due to recent events.

"Here I am," Bianca says with a weak smile. She goes to her trunk to see that it was already packed. "You guys packed for me?"

"We figured it'd give you one less thing to do," Cassie says with a shrug and small smile.

"Thank you," Bianca replies. She goes to sit on her bed but sees a letter propped up on her pillows. She raises her brow in confusion but opens the letter to read it.

Dear Bianca,
It is likely that you know the Dark Lord has risen once again. With this, you have a new duty to our family. You will be returning to us this summer and preparing for what comes next. We've let you befriend blood traitors and mud bloods for far too long, the game is over. Your mother would have wanted this.
Lucius Malfoy

Bianca is filled with rage as she reads the letter. She crumples it up and points her wand at it. "Incendio."

"What was is?" Juniper asks standing up at Bianca's sudden outburst.

"The Malfoys," Bianca spits turning to the two. "They say it's time for me to fulfill my duty to the family."

"Like hell," Juniper retorts. "You can come stay with me for the summer."

"Juni you live too close, they'll just come get me the moment I leave," Bianca says with a sad shake of her head.

"Then you'll come live with me," Cassie says firmly. Bianca's jaw drops in shock at Cassie. She blinks a few times in confusion. "Look I know our relationship has been rocky-"

"Or just down right toxic," Juniper adds.

Cassie shoots her a look and Juniper stood down. Bianca wondered how much they've been talking that they could communicate like that.

"Right it's been shit. The point is, we're still sisters- twins- and we need to be there for each other. Plus, spending a summer in France would help us bond."

"She has a point," Juniper encourages with a smile.

"It sounds perfect," Bianca agrees. "I don't know if I can spend an entire summer without Juni though."

"SUMMER VACATION TO FRNACE!" Juniper yells jumping up on her bed. She waves her hands in the air in excitement. Bianca lets out a giggle at this.

Cassie gives the girls her address so they can arrive there by Floo Network after they've gotten their things from home. The girls do one last sweep around the room to make sure they'd gotten everything. Then they make their way down to the feast together. Cassie and Juniper each grabbed one of Bianca's hands with a comforting squeeze as they entered the Great Hall.

The Great Hall was quieter than normal as everyone ate. Their was a blanket of sadness over the students. Even those who didn't know Cedric personally grieved his loss. The Hufflepuff table was especially sad, Cedric had been loved by so many.
