Izzy was moving into the new house with her mom and dad. She was carrying some boxes to put in the basement for storage. She carried them to the basement door, when she heard her mother call after her, "Don't you dare open that door, young lady!" Slowly, Izzy backed away, put the boxes down, and ran upstairs, sobbing while doing so. Taffeta, the mother, realized straight after, and ran after her. Izzy was found with her head in her pillow on her bed. Taffeta sat down beside her, and whispered,"I'm sorry, sweetie. I don't know what came over me. Please don't take it too seriously! I was just...trying to protect you..." Izzy slowly got up and spoke,"Protect me from what, exactly?" Her mother was still,"From falling down the stairs! They are stone, you know! You could've busted your head open like an egg!" She said, hoping her daughter would believe her. "Okay, just don't say so angrily next time, please?" Her mother looked over and nodded. She had protected the secret, the secret about the monster.
