"We will arrive in Tokyo in 1 hour." "WOAHH!" exclaimed the young demon as she pressed her hands against the window. "I never thought Tokyo would be full of shining lights! I mean, I know that China, Philippines, Thailand and the other countries also have shining cities but humans always amaze me with their knowledge and brains!"
The male only blinked unexpectedly at the demon guider.
(Y/N) has been traveling abroad to "study" (a.k.a slaying demons) sent by his master, along the trip he had found a demon that was barely 5 ft tall with pink hair and mint tints with non-human-like eyes.
Her name was Yume, a friendly demon who had been a guide to the male, pointing out what type of demon was which and where their weaknesses are etc etc.
All she wanted as a payment was to travel around countries with him, that was all.
He never asked why she would like to travel with him and he decided not to.
"I heard that Tokyo was originally named 'Edo' and they held the first Olympics in 1964!"
Yume jumped up and down in her seat, her eyes bouncing with excitement.
She turned her head 90 degrees towards the sleep-deprived male, her grin so wide and radiant that the demon slayer had a huge urge to cover his eyes from the brightness.
The demon lightly frowned when her new friend nodded tiredly, she took his face in her hands forcefully and tugged the side of his mouth to form a weird smile.
To the people that were around them, they thought the two were distant cousins going on a trip instead of a demon and a demon slayer working together to kill other demons.
They did somewhat blend in the crowd, the tall (h/c) haired wore a simple crimson hoodie and black jeans whilst the energetic demon wore a maroon-colored dress.
If you take a quick glance at them, you would just shrug and walk away.
The demon slayer felt a tic triggering in his head and gently pulled the demon's hands down, "Yume, we're in public and any suspicious action we'll be on the FBI list."
The pink-haired demon's eyes widened and immediately started apologizing but (Y/N) assured her it was alright.
He had some hard time understanding the demon, one moment she can be blissful and happy while the next she can shred you into pieces.
(Y/N) sweatdropped at the memories.
The male clicked on his phone to see the time, 45 minutes left then they'll be off the plane.
His eyes started to droop but fought them to be alert of any demons or evil lurking nearby.
Who knew traveling around so much constantly and slaying demons could be this much tiring?
He doesn't get paid enough.
Yume placed her hand on his forehead, "Get some sleep! I pinky swear that I will wake you up if something bad happens."
(Y/N) eyes fluttered to her direction, he seemed hesitant for a few minutes but his eyes seemed to stop fighting and nodded curtly as his head banged against the window.
The small demon pushed his head away from the eyes of the plane and placed a cotton blanket that she (stole) bought (from the nearby shop on the airport in Philippines) over him.
She smiled as the attendant came around and asked if she would like her last dinner on the plane which the demon excitedly accepted and had thrown her companion's wallet at her (the attendant only took the money for the order and left the wallet next to the demon).
After the attendant gave her the food< Yume scooped mashed potatoes into her mouth, her legs waving back and forth as she glanced at her new friend.
She could see visible dark circles under his eyes, she pursed her lips and frowned, she didn't want to cause more trouble for him so she will make sure he has a healthy sleeping schedule once they get to his home safely.
Speaking of home, she heard from (Y/N) that he had a family. Two parents and six siblings, she wondered what their reaction would be if he told them he was traveling with a demon.
She knew there was a high chance he wouldn't spill the secret and she was okay with it, she wasn't sure if they would accept her so it would be better to just keep it low profile instead.
Yume hummed as she continued to dig into her meal. She had ordered curry, rice and mashed potatoes with apple juice as her beverage.
Even though she was a demon, she had to drink some blood once in a while but she can handle it for a long period of time so it wasn't a bad thing, but she also had wanted to try cuisines from different countries so it was good decision to be with (Y/N) while he was traveling around other countries.
Yume was happy, genuinely happy for once in her life.
She smiled gently at her companion.
