TS: Lost Forever by Dpatel

Part 2-A. Misconception of Truth

Three years later...

Khushi now leave alone in the unknown city, in strange country and in unfamiliar world. Per se she is surrounded by people but at time she finds herself standing alone waiting for someone to rescue her from this unfamiliar place.

She has friends who she works with but there is no place like home, Lucknow, India to be precise. Though she would rather go back to Delhi, India but the home she thought it would be her for years to come, is no longer it is and never will be. It was lost in the midst of misconception, delusion so powerful it buried the truth six feet deep under.

Today she lives in the small city called Devonport in the northwestern part of Tasmania, Australia. The city is situated at the mouth of the Mersey River. Along the side of this city there resides a slightly smaller city of Burnie, Devonport. This city is the major regional center of the northwestern part of the state; population not more than 30,000 small community with full of life.

But to this small community she is still an alien to this city as well the country, Devonport City of Australia.

Three years ago she entered Devonport, Australia; she was brought to this country by a wonderful couple who found her lying on the street, left for dead. They brought her to the hospital for treatment when they found her on the street fully injured from top to bottom. She almost died on that day. That day Khushi lost her everything, her home, her husband, her family, and all.

After her recovery they file for her paperwork to the Australian Embassy to bring her with them. During her recovery process no one came to see her as she didn’t provide any information to the hospital nor to them. They didn’t feel right to leave her by herself to fight alone in the cruel; their hearts doesn’t settle well knowing she has lost everything and the recent life threatening experience. She reminded her about their daughter who they lost long time ago. After getting permission from the Embassy, they flew back to Australia. They considered her as their daughter and provided shelter to her. So to speak, they help her during the transition to her new life.

First year in this new country was a challenge and somewhat blessing in disguise.  Learning new culture, language, living completely different lifestyle was a challenge in itself. But with head strong determination and to move on from her dark and awful life, she had overcome all the challenges and excels in all accomplishment, with little help from David and Ally Wilson.

Along the way she made few friends, though life wasn’t smooth as sailing but she made the best out of it. She still misses her family, her friends and one special person who she can’t get him out of her mind. For past three years how she has lived her life she only knows. Time to time she tries to find comfort in her womb but that too barred. She misses everyone; but what can she have done to change what has happened in her life. She would do anything in her power to modify her destiny and faith, but she lack is those wonderful qualities. She doesn’t possess the power; she doesn’t have the power or will to write her own destiny like him.

Time to time her past appears before her eyes during daytime as well as nighttime, haunting her reminding her of those horrendous dreams. For her it wasn’t her dreams, but true reality…

Today, she still wonder what happen on that day when he threw her out of the house without letting her explain her side of the story. What crime did she commit where she wasn’t allowed to explain herself? There she stood alone leaning on the frame of the window, wondering what happen on that day which change her whole destiny and life.

In the morning they were on speaking term happy with their lives but later that evening the whole atmosphere changed. Dark clouds mingled around the Raizada Mansion waiting to engulf in anything its path.
