A/n: this was a request

3RD PERSON POV
Y/N Pettigrew, known as Y/N Y/L/N, was sitting with her best friends- Harry Potter, Ron Weasely and Hermione Granger in the train. She had just finished her 5th year at Hogwarts, and was on her way to the Malfoy Manor-where she had been asked to stay for the holidays before the next term started. Earlier, she received a letter from her father, Peter Pettigrew, saying that he had something important planned for her. Peter Pettigrew gave her a fake last name, so as to keep her safe, and not ruin her future. This wasn't an unusual occurrence for her to stay at the Manor, considering she had no other home. Although she was a Gryffindor, she was friends with some of the slytherins who were Draco Malfoy's friends, considering she stays at the Manor every holidays.

She would never admit it to anyone, but she has had a very crush on Draco Malfoy, even though he was very mean to her. Hence why, she was quite excited, but worried at the thought of staying at the manor.

------------------------------------------------------------

Y/N had her own room in the manor because she basically grew up there. She was in the middle of unpacking her stuff when a knock sounded at the door to which she responded with a 'come in' and in came her father. She was surprised to see him because he was usually with the dark lord and followed him wherever he used to go.
"Father.", she greeted him with a simple nod. She wasn't really fond of her father-although he never did anything to harm her and always tried to keep her out of his business, he still worked for Voldemort.
"Oh,my little girl has grown so much since the last time I saw her!", she cringed at his sickly sweet tone.
She sighed. This only happened when he needed something from her. Last time, it was to join Umbridge's squad ,which she obviously denied.
"What do you want from me this time, father?", she asked slowly.
He sighed.
"Look, I tried to avoid your involvement but you have to do this, otherwise he would tell everyone your true identity."
"What do you mean?", she asked with wide eyes.
"He wants you to help the younger Malfoy with his task at Hogwarts."

------------------------------------------------------------
Draco Malfoy was now a death eater. And Y/N had to help him. She could tell he didn't actually want to become one for she could see the pain in his eyes when he got the mark. She didn't care that her true identity would be revealed, she agreed just because she didn't want to put Draco's life at risk, and as much as she would hate to admit it,she actually cared about him because she knew what he had to go through with his father. Besides,no one really knew about her even at the Manor. Everyone just thought that she was a distant relative of Peter Pettigrew and her parents were usually busy at work.

When he got the mark, she tried to comfort him but he just dismissed her saying he didn't need any help and that he was chosen.

Draco did indeed need help. (A/N:Doesn't this sound like a tongue twister?) But he wasn't very good at showing emotions, hencewhy he shut everyone down. Besides that,he didn't like the girl. Half of the reason was because he found her annoying, and the other half was because she was basically bestfriends with Harry Potter and his so called 'gang'.
------------------------------------------------------------
(A/N:IM SORRY FOR SO MANY TIME SKIPS)
They were finally back at Hogwarts. Y/N's summer didn't consist of anything extraordinary, except for the fact that she had to now help death eaters enter Hogwarts.

For Draco, his holidays consisted of reading every spell book he had in his library which could help him to fix the cabinet.

They both were now sitting at their house tables. When Y/N looked up from her plate, she locked eyes with Draco, who signalled her to the doors of the Great hall silently and she understood and nodded.

She cleared her throat to gain attention.
"Guys, I am going to go for a walk. I just need some fresh air.",she told them to which they just nodded and smiled.
This wasn't an uncommon occurrence, she usually went for a walk after dinner,so they weren't suspicious at all.

She made her way towards the doors and looked at Draco, who also seemed to be thinking of some excuse to sneak out.

The walk to the Room of Requirements was silent and painfully uncomfortable. Whenever she tried to make a conversation, either he would ignore her or give a short response.

"You can sit down, I will do this.",he ordered her.
"But aren't we supposed to work on this together?", she pressed.
"I don't need your help!",he snapped.
"I can do this on my own! I was chosen for this!"
She sighed.
"Draco, you still have time. You don't have to do this."
"Yes, I have to and I will!", he answered and started working on the cabinet while she just stared at how beautiful he looked with moonlight reflecting on his face.

This went on for days. She would just stare at him watch the cabinet, and occasionally try to convince him not to do all this, which he would again snap at.

She was sitting in her potions class when she received a note. She knew it was from Draco from the way it was folded into a beautiful bird. She secretly opened it so as to not catch attention. It said- Meet me in the Room of Requirements at 10.
She looked up from the note and to where Draco was sitting, to see he was already looking and her and nodded. This obviously didn't go unnoticed by Hermione, who had in fact read the letter too, but she didn't question it just yet.
------------------------------------------------------------

Y/N and Draco were now in the room of requirements. Draco had just told her that he was also tasked to kill someone-that someone being Dumbledore himself.
"What do you mean? You are going to kill the headmaster?", she shouted.
"Yes! I don't know how yet, but I am going to do it.", he replied sharply.
"Draco, you are not like this, you are better. You don't have to do this, please.", she looked at him with tears in her eyes, but he just ignored her and sat down on the old couch.

This was too much for Draco. He didn't want to be a monster. He didn't want to kill anyone. He didn't have the heart to kill anyone. But he had no choice. If he couldn't do it, you-know-who would kill his mother, whom he loved with everything in his soul. He didn't care about his life, or his father's, he just cared for his mother. He had been bottling up his emotions since forever, so when he felt the other side of the couch sink and an arm being placed around him, his bubble burst.

Even Y/N didn't knew where she got the courage to hug him but she was glad she did. She was glad he wasn't bottling up his emotions anymore when she felt the side of her neck getting wet-he was crying. His cries only got louder. His loud sobs broke her heart, which brought tears to her own eyes.
"I-I don't w-want to do this. It was my-my father. Ju-Just because he-he couldn't com-complete his ta-task, I have t-to do-do this.", he managed to speak in-between sobs.
"Shh, its gonna be okay, Draco. Let it all out, I am here.", she whispered while running a hand through his hair, which seemed to calm him down a bit.
