A Dad's Duty - A Naruto Tale

1. The Birth of Naruto

Minato looked to his wife in shock dumfounded. He had just found out from Kushina , the love of his life that he would become a father..."A father! ha A FATHER! me A FATHER!" Minato thought in disbelief. "Kushina... thank you! I love you so much!" Minato embraced her in his arms and held her close.

Kushina chuckled "This all I dreamed of you know us as a family, Raising a child together". Minato felt like he was in Haven Away from all his Duties as a Hokage, away from all his responsibilities. With his wife and soon to be child he felt Complete, never having a family of his own as a child he wanted to be this child's best posible father that he couldn't have.

"I know, and I will never give it up over anything"

-Some Months Later in a secret cave inside Konoha-

The secret cave was full of commotion The hustle of nurses here and there and the unmistakable voice of Minato comforting Kushina as she went into labor. Minato was worried sick not only that her wife was in such great pain both also worried about stabilizing the ever weakening seal on Kushina's belly holding the Nine-tales within her.

Meanwhile, due to this commotion the people inside couldn't notice the Masked man taking out the guards outside, with ease. "this is the best you could have arranged for protection of your wife and child Sensei? it's almost laughable" the masked figure thought as he slid into his Kamui dimension, patiently waiting for the child to be born. 

-In Hiruzen's room-

Unknown to anyone, Hiruzen was insuring the safety of Minato and Kushina not to forget his own wife Biwako Sarutobi who was leading the birthing process, through his crystal ball, as Kushina had insisted on birthing the child inside the village for better security, somewhere inside the Hokage Mountain.

Upon seeing the masked figure slaughter the guard he made it his personal task to go there himself.

"this might get out of hands...I should call him too..." Hiruzen muttered to himself as he wore his battle armor "Anbu!"

In a single puff of smoke an anbu member appeared in front of Hiruzen "Yes lord Sandaime"

"I want you to inform Jiraya that the cage of the fox is rusting. He will understand it's meaning, you will find him peeping in the hot springs, trying to 'research' on the women who came to take an evening bath. Go, Now!" Hiruzen instructed the anbu member.

"Of course lord Sandaime" came a reply before a another poof of smoke.

With his will of fire burning with an eternal intensity he left for the Hokage rock in pursuit of the masked figure.

-In The Secret Cave-

The cries of a single baby boy could be heard. He was in the arms of his mother though he did not know who the man with the yellow hair was, he was right beside his mother. His mother was a kind faced women with Bright red hair.

the boy's crying stopped and a playful face could be seen on him, he chuckled gleefully in his mother's gentle arms, he garbed her red hair and played with it. In a little while fell asleep holding her mother's long red hair tightly.

"Oh... Naruto" Kushina said giving a weak smile. She, even though still in a lot of pain, felt the happiest she had ever felt in her life.

"He's so small and precious, he is the cutest boy I have ever seen! and he is MY son" Minato thought grinning ear to ear while looking at his son 'Naruto Namikaze'. 

"I will have to take Naruto here to a bath of warm water now" came the voice of Biwako. She took the sleeping Naruto from his Mother's arms in the most gentle and caring manner and headed to the bathing area build specially for Naruto with a couple of other nurses.

When Minato looked down to his wife he saw that she too had fallen into sleep, he kissed her forehead and thanked her for coming into his life.
