"dammit," Casey said to herself as she began to hiss as a fleck of sun made it's way through a small crack in the hallway. She quickly licked her fangs and burrowed her eyebrows at the thought of how it made her skin burn just a bit at the worst possible time.

She was due to meet Izzie in the library to have a talk, or so Izzie said. And Casey was really not happy about the sound of it.

As she walked down the long stretch of hallway she passed a few younger students nearly climbing over each other to drink from the blood well. It was all synthetic, obviously, as to not upset the outside world but the well had just been refilled and the younger ones especially had a tough time controlling their thirst.

She continued on, her backpack slung over her shoulder, her dusty faded black jeans hanging just off her hip and her old and tattered white t-shirt flimsy and thin against her skin. It was the quickest thing she could get on before heading out to school and she felt especially anxious about how it made her feel since she always tried to look a little better than normal anytime she met up with Izzie for some reason. The whole thing was ridiculous but Izzie could be intimidating sometimes so she just wanted to feel her best in any way she could in these types of situations.

As she made her way into the library she found a table just at the back near the farthest corner. It seemed the best spot to meet with Izzie since she didn't want Rosalía, her girlfriend, making it more than it really was if she came across them.

It was supposed to be just a quick meeting to talk and hopefully not some stupid drama. She'd listen to whatever Izzie had to say and be on her way as quickly as possible. That was the plan.

She made her way to her seat and took out a thermos of some andro blood she had been trying out. It tasted too thick when she took a sip so she set the thermos back down quickly and slumped her head into her hand as her elbow rested on the desk. After letting out a long sigh she closed her eyes for a moment to temper her nerves.

"looks like someone wants to be forgotten," said a voice at her side.

Casey opened her eyes and saw before her the infamous Izzie, daughter of Red Crow and heir to all of shadowland. She was always impressed with how Izzie looked even though she'd only ever really seen her from afar.

She'd never admit it of course, but Izzie had this way of moving in and out of situations at school that Casey secretly admired. She quickly looked down at Izzie's black combat boots and moved her gaze up past Izzie's tight green army pants and leather jacket that she always wore that was always hugged her chest and body somewhat perfectly each and every time.

She sat back in her chair and paused for a moment as she looked up at Izzie, who was now somewhat towering over her and staring her down hard for some reason.

"You're more than welcome to sit," Casey said softly, trying to temper the tension in the air.

Izzie clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes but took a seat anyway.

"So...." she burrowed her eyebrows more as she stared Casey down.

"So...." Casey replied, wondering what this ridiculous meeting was even about.

"So Joren tells me you have plans to transition." Izzie said, getting to the point.

"something like that...." Casey replied softly as she slinked back in her chair and crossed her arms.

"and yet.....instead of a proper transition you're considering to become a Neither....or so that's what they tell me..." Izzie remarked, now crossing her own arms as she flung her ponytail to the side, getting more impatient with Casey's indifference.
