I stopped kissing the lovely woman in front of me. A tear fell down my cheek, and I clutched to Shane for support.
"Are you okay?"
I hadnt kiss someone like that in a long time. Kissing passionately felt so good, except the last time I did, things went to hell. "Huh? I dont know. Its just been a while since ive been this close to someone."
"Do you need to sit down?"
"Um... Yeah i better."
"Okay, ill sit you down to make sure you get to your table safely, and ill... Ill be on my way."
"Hey, do you want to join us? My friends dont bite. Well, Sandy might, but thats because were like sisters and shes protective."
"Well, its always good to have someone there for you. Are you sure? I dont want to intrude." My heart ached when Shane thought that should be.
I gave her a little push on her shoulder and continued, "of course you wouldnt be intruding. You already stole me away on the dance floor! I want you to come with me. Come on, I think theyll like you." Feeling mildly better, I grasped Shanes hand and led her to the table.
"Hey guys, mind if Shane joins?" I asked with a pleading "Yes" as her expression, and Sandy answered.
"Yeah, sure. Did you guys have fun? You were out there for a while." she eyed Shane, seeing if she was harmless, which she could sense.
I stated, "Yes, it was a blast! Im very glad that you asked me to dance."
I looked at Shane to see a spark in her ocean blue eyes. "Yes, it was fun. I hope we can do it again sometime."
I blushed and could feel my face grow hot. This woman is already driving me crazy! When I heard someone clear their throat, I snapped back to reality. "Oh, um, this is Sandy," I displayed my arm out to my best friend, then moved it to my left. "And this is her lover Jean." I smiled as they exchanged there 'hellos', noticing Jean being more open to Shane.
Sandy was still kind of eyeing her and questioning her. "So, Shane. Is Lillie just a one night stand or are you going to call her again?"
I giggled, "I told you so, but don't worry, shes not crazy." That last part I whispered so Sandy didn't hear me.
Shane laughed, "Well I hope this continues." She placed her hand on arm and caressed it softly . "I hope you felt the same kind of connection that I did."
I smiled wide and blushed again.I couldnt utter any words. God, I feel like a highschooler all over again.
Sandy made comment, "Well that's good, but do you want to have sex with her right now when you barely know each other? Or do you want to wait until a special occasion or say after the third date?" I glare over at Sandy, I didn't want her to ruin this for me."What? Its just a question Lil."
Shane laughed, "its alright, I understand youre worried about her safety and how I may come on to her. I know I dont really know her and its good to know where someone comes from before you sleep with them, passionately, but im always passionate. I dont hurt anyone."
"Is that a yes or no? Now or later?" Sandy leaned in.
"Well, I dont want to take advantage of her. I would now, but just because I would like to feel her close to me."
"Hm. What do you think of that, Lil?"
I hadnt been able to say a single word, stunned at where the conversation was going. I looked from Shane to Sandy and settled my eyes on Shane. "I think its sweet that you dont want to take advantage of me." Jean stepped in before Sandy could say anything else. Thank God! "Yeah, it is mighty thoughtful and nice. Dont you think so, babe?" She looked at Sandy with her 'be nice' expression.
"Yeah, I guess so."
"Sandy, come walk with me for a moment please." We both stood and stepped outside.
"What are you doing? Are you trying to embarrass me? I feel like youre being a strict parent trying to get her to leave me aloneI couldn't hold my patience anymore. I looked at Sandy trying to find the answers. Sandy took a breath. "You know im here for you, Lil. I support you in everything you do and want. Im just afraid youll get hurt again."
"I know, and im thankful for our friendship, but please dont question her to where she feels like shes stuck in a corner, because she might bolt."
"So, what do you want to do?" Sandy leaned forward to see if she could read my mind.
"I want," holding back my fear and taking a big gulp, I finished my meaningful sentence, "I want to give Shane a chance." I looked at Shane through the door way, where the door was propped open. Smiling, pondering how there futures will unfold.
I know this is moving fast but it feels right, I have never felt this close to sanctum. We both have to see, I have to see if we could give love a second chance.
