**Lillies POV
My mother met us in the emergency room worried sick. "What happend? How did your wrist get injured?" She said out of breath.
I was embarrassed to repeat the story, but it was her so, so I felt obligated to tell her. After I explained my day, I noticed my mothers facial grew from worried to furious.
"What! He did this!? Hes NOT going to get away with this. No one ever lays their hands on my daughter like that, even if im standing right there! Ill slap him silly. Ill... Ill... God damn. Why did this happen?" I could sense the fear and anger in her voice. Whether she knew it or not, I could tell she was about to explode. I was all she had. I never wanted to lose her. She taught me right from wrong, but also told me to have an open mind. She knew I was strong, she knew I was also very sensitive.
After a pause, and more guilt running through my body, my mother stood with a pleading look. I knew this situation was bad. Very bad. I made a decision to be done with Mark. I will no longer let him hurt me as well as the ones I love. Over my dead body.
I was medicated on percacets. When we seen the doctor, he confirmed I had a fractured ulna and metacarpals were out of place and broken. There was massive swelling and bruises. I just needed to let it rest, heal and take medication. I would also eventually have to take physical therapy.
He let me pick which color cast I wanted to wear, and of course I chose my favorite color. I wore a blue cast around my left forearm and wrist with one signature from Sandy. It said: Get better. I admire you and your heart. I fell sleepily unconscious and didnt remember a word of the conversation in the morning.
