Chapter 23

"What the hell just happened? What the fuck did I do? Am I going crazy for letting this all fucking happen?" Sunoo thought while thinking hysterically.

He just can't believe that he let his emotions gets ahead of himself. He already knew the consequences of doing that and he's not gonna make a mistake.

It's not that he doesn't like Sunghoon. It is very evident the moment he initiated the kiss. It's that he can't. He really can't be with Sunghoon. It's gonna broke Sunghoon's wish.

Broking someone's wish or not being able to grant them is something Sunoo wouldn't ever do purposely. He has broken someone's wish a lot of times. All of them are bad wishes, or greedy wishes that he can't grant.

The creator one decided that if he couldn't grant someone's wish until he pays back the deed. It will affect his life. He wouldn't be able to retrieve his life back to live. Now, if Sunoo fails to grant one more wish, he wouldn't be able to become a human person again and will stay as genie inside the mysterious ruby ring.

Sunghoon decided to get in the car at the drivers seat. He just decided to confront Sunoo ahead of time.

"Sunoo, can we talk about us and- "
Sunghoon was cut off from Sunoo's response.

"No, let's just forget what just happened." Sunoo replied.

Sunghoon couldn't believe that Sunoo played it like it was nothing. Both knew that they are attracted to each other.

"I like you and you like me. I already showed you everything that I am. Can you just consider the possibility of us being together?" Sunghoon said.

"Can you fucking stop! There's no you and me. There's no fucking us. We would never work. You are a human and I am a genie. What human needs is another human." Sunoo replied.

"Stop making my decisions! I don't really care if you're a genie. I fucking like you. I fucking like you. I fucking like you. Do I have to say these things over and over again to prove that you can't control who I like?" Sunghoon shouted.

Sunoo was out of words. He can't mutter any single word.

"You might not believe me but the short amount of time we knew each other. I already have a strong attraction to you." Sunghoon added.

"I still can't. I'm sorry." Sunoo replied timidly.

Sunghoon just sighed in defeat and step on the gas. He isn't going to entertain Sunoo's decision until the matter is finally clear.

When they arrive at the condo, no words exchanged between them. Sunoo took a bath and went inside the room. While Sunghoon always tried to talk to Sunoo.

He's getting rejected every single time. After taking a bath and an eventful thinking. Sunghoon went to the room to get dressed. He already saw that Sunoo was lying on the bed asleep. After changing into comfortable pj's. He lied down beside him.

But then Sunoo had woken up and grabs a hotdog bolster to put it in between. A way to separate them both. Sunghoon just sighed again in defeat.

"Maybe it isn't the right time to talk about these things." Sunghoon thought.

Morning, Sunghoon wakes up early to prepare for their breakfast. He made soufflé eggs and ramen. He decided that he won't pester Sunoo about that sensitive topic.

Sunoo gets up and takes a bath. All of his thoughts runs just like the water cascading down on his body. "I have to get things right. I should just act like before. Like a Normal Friend."

"What is that?" Sunoo walks up behind him.

"Ah, our breakfast. You wanna eat now? Give me a second." Sunghoon replied.

Sunoo settled himself on the chair and waiting for Sunghoon to serve the food.

When the food is placed on the table, It immediately wafts through Sunoo's nose. "It smells good. How did you do the ramen?" Sunoo asked.

"It's a secret. But I will tell you if you agree to talk about us." Sunghoon teasingly insinuate.

"Well, I don't like prying secrets." Sunoo deflected Sunghoon's attempt.

Sunghoon felt disappointed. They started to eat and talks about the first class. They didn't even talk about what happened yesterday. Sunghoon also understood that Sunoo might been shock or it all became new too him.

When they arrived at the classroom. Sunoo and Sunghoon went to sit on the far back. Jungwon suddenly acknowledges Sunghoon.

"Sunghoon! Hey, are we really going out tomorrow?" Jungwon excitedly asked.

"What the fuck is he talking about tomorrow? I didn't know about going tomorrow." Sunghoon thought. After thinking like a few seconds, he immediately knew that this was Sunoo's antics.

He's saving Jungwon's face. It would be rude to act like he didn't know (which he really didn't know) and also to avoid conflicts.

"Yes, are you free tomorrow?" Sunghoon asked.

"Hmmmmm, yep. I'm free so are we really going there?" Jungwon replied.

Sunghoon confused as to what did Sunoo told Jungwon where they would go.

"Hahahaha. Ice cream shop right?" Sunghoon wildly guessed.

"No, silly. It's the science fair tomorrow. Shall we meet there?" Jungwon asked.

"No, I'll get you. Just text me your address." Sunghoon replied.

"Sure, see you tomorrow." Jungwon giggled and smiled.

Sunghoon nodded in response and went to look at Sunoo. He immediately glared at Sunoo. He can't believe that he texted Jungwon yesterday, and made decisions for him.

"I mean, Yes. I was asking for it. I was asking for Jungwon but it's fucking different now. How can he just do it without thinking my feelings!" Sunghoon thought with rage in his heart.

Sunoo didn't respond to Sunghoon's glare. If he decided to tell him about what he planned yesterday then he would've protested or this wouldn't happen today.
