three weeks has passed, and Kazuha was now a regular to Sato host bar. He's learned the names of several hosts, sometimes even taking the liberty to chat with some of them.

Today was no exception. He stepped into the bar at exactly eight, looking towards Kenta as he rung Scaramouche.

"Well, I'm certainly not surprised to see you here again." Scaramouche joked as he walked over to greet Kazuha, who had the biggest smile on his face the moment saw Scaramouche.

"Don't act like you don't want to see me," Kazuha chuckled, "I won't take up a lot of your time today."

Scaramouche smiled, and turned to bring them to an empty seat. The bar was starting to fill up with clients, so Kazuha settled down with Scaramouche. Seeing a bottle of coconut juice on the table ready for him somewhat warmed his heart.

"Alright, big man, what's the deal with you today?" Scaramouche asked Kazuha as he poured a glass of juice for himself.

"Okay, you got me," Kazuha chuckled, "I called my mother today."

"Oh? Good for you. Though, what's with that face?"

"I haven't talked to her in years."

Scaramouche's head tiled in confusion, "Aren't you like twenty-five or something? You say it like you haven't spoken to her in ten years."

"Not far from the truth." Kazuha sighed, "She left me when I was in high school."

"Oh God, that's terrible." Scaramouche empathized, "Here. this glass is on me."

Kazuha shook his head and flashed a bittersweet smile, "Thank you, but it doesn't hurt me anymore. I've lived alone for quite some years now."

"Do you still have connections to your father?"

"No, he left me when I was in middle school."

"Wow, so you've been just taking care of yourself since high school?" Scaramouche shook his head in disbelief, "You are so strong and ambitious."

Kazuha ignored his comment. "I called my mom without expecting an answer. You know, it was the new years and everything, that just what I do each year."

Scaramouche nodded.

"She actually answered this time, but I didn't know she had so much hatred against me. She was completely shitting on my father, and saying how just because I carry his genes, she wanted nothing to do with me either."

"Oh my God," Scaramouche was shocked, "you should press charges, or something. That's incredibly scarring, I'm so happy you've made it this far."

Kazuha sighed, "No, I'd rather not. It's unbelievably costly to press charges these days, and I'd rather spend my money for survival, you know?"

"But you have the money to spend on me?" Scaramouche chuckled.

Kazuha smiled, "Anything for you."

Their exchange went on for another hour, until the bill came up, and Kazuha pulled out his card again, with Scaramouche watching from the side.

"Sir, your card as been declined." The waitress tapped on the card reader, the screen displaying in big, bold letters, 'Your card as been delined.'

"Let's try that again," Kazuha gritted his teeth, sliding his card on the reader. The same text appeared on the screen.

"Sir, I don't believe you have sufficient funds for this transaction."

"This fucking thing is a credit card!" Kazuha exclaimed, opening his phone to contact customer service.

But the moment he opened up his banking information, he realized that it wasn't an issue with the card reader. He hit the spending limitation of this month.
