Kazuha toyed with his phone for little while before setting it down, eyes looking out to nothingness. He called his company earlier today, asking for a raise. Unfortunately, he was declined and hung up on almost immediately.

Looking at his bank balance, he could only laugh at his own hubris, the cost which is that of his entire worth. His unwavering pride had gotten the best of him, and he was now just a man, living off of instant ramen and bread.

He sighed, counting the yen that was supposed to last him until his next paycheck. He had a large sum set aside to pay back his credit card, so he had to save every last penny. He started counting the water he uses, the electricity he uses, and shutting off every device that powers off of oil.

Throughout the days he broke off from Sato host bar, he could only think of one thing in particular. The fact that Mina was right, all along.

Scaramouche was a blood sucker, and he sucked Kazuha for all he was worth. If he hadn't been careful enough, he'd like to think that his apartment rent would've also been at risk.

Staring at Mina's contact info, Kazuha spun into absolutely hopelessness. He opened up their chatbox, and started writing messages to her.

He shut his phone. And not long after, he heard the dings of notifications.

Mina messaged back

Kazuha: Hey, hru

Mina: nm, what's up?

Kazuha: Idk, just wanted to check up on you

Mina: Well, I'm fine. Thank you. What about you?

Kazuha: I could be better, but yea

Mina: Oh, that's sad to hear, what's wrong?

...

Kazuha: Well, this is all just a bunch of nothing. I'm sorry for not listening to you, Mina.

Mina: Thats okay. im sorry that happened to you.

Kazuha: Lesson learned

Kazuha threw his phone aside, shutting his eyes. He hasn't had his lights on for a while, and it's seriously taken a toll on his eyes. He reopened them, tears leaking down. He needs to save electricity bills, and he'd happily sacrifice his own two eyes if it meant he could pay back his credit card debt sooner.

another ding sounded from his phone, and his screen lit up once again, Kazuha groaned, opening his phone.

Mina: Hey, if u dont mind, maybe we can go to like, a cafe someday?

Kazuha sighed. If this meant that he'll have someone to talk to, he supposes he can't really refuse.

Kazuha: sure
