Wilhelm had spent his holidays locked up in his room. Not because his mom told him to, but because being at the palace and celebrating his favourite holiday, was Way too painful without Erik. He couldn't just sit there at the dinner table, and act like he wasn't breaking apart like glasses into pieces inside. So instead, he locked himself in his room, with himself and his music.
But now, it was time to go back to Hillerska, and he dreaded it so much. He had gone through several panic attacks yesterday as he was packing up all his stuff. Just the thought of coming back, and facing everyone, knowing they knew exactly that it was him in the video, he couldn't hide it from everybody.
But the thing he dreaded the most, but at the same time the least, Was Simon. He was still mad, Wilhelm knew that. He had tried texting him twice, on Christmas Eve and New Years, but no answer popped up on his phone. It was understandable, he had hurt him with his actions and words, and he regretted it. He shouldn't have gotten his hopes up like that, cause a crown prince can't date a guy. Even if he loves him more than his crown.

Now Wilhelm was sitting in the car, on his way to Hillerska for the first time in two weeks. Malik was sitting next to him, staring out the window, looking bored.
Before Wilhelm drove away from the palace, his mother had given him a whole speech about how to behave, and to be "better than before" He did not understand what she meant by that. he hadn't done anything wrong. At least not in Wilhelm's eyes.
"Prince Wilhelm" Malin speaked up. Wilhelm had specifically told her to call him that, instead of "your majesty" To Wilhelm that was his mothers title, not his.
"We will arrive in five minutes, are you ready?" Malin looked at him with a questioning look on her face. In reality Wilhelm was not ready at all. He wasn't ready to see the look on Simons face when he walked in the church door. He wasn't ready to be stared at and whispered about, once again. But what he dreaded most, was that he should sit there, in the church. Silent, listening to Simons breathtaking voice. being all engulfed in his voice, knowing he wasn't his. There were no Wilhelm and Simon, he had destroyed it, all by himself. And it broke Wilhelm. Not because he was hurting, but because he had hurt Simon, and there was no going back from that.

The car entered the Hillerska driveway. Not alone, but at least with ten other cars. Wilhelm looked up at the castle, white, big and with a bell on the roof. As usual.
Malin stepped out of the car, and looked at Wilhelm as a sign that he should too. And so he did. He looked around and saw Felice standing at the other side of the driveway, talking to his mother.

He didn't mean too, but he desperately searched for Simon, even tho he told himself not to. He didn't know if it was because of how much he missed him, or just old habit.
Eventually he found him standing at the entrance for the church, together with all the choir kids, Felice apparently, was there too. He panicked a little when he saw his face, the face he had been so close to, so many times, and now he was standing so far away from it. Yet it was as pretty as always. He tried to get his attention, but it seemed like Simon hadn't seen him yet. Maybe that was for the better too.

The bells started ringing, and the whole choir group started walking inside the church, followed by all the Hillerska students, including Himself, and Malin walking closely behind him.

When the choir started singing, Wilhelm's heart started going faster and faster, trying his best not to swallow Simons voice, singing so beautifully, as he stood there looking directly at the crowd.
The rest of the choirs voices started harmonising with Simons, sounding to beautiful that Wilhelm couldn't resist the butterflies evolving in his stomach.

Wilhelm looked at Simon, who surprisingly already looked at him. He panicked a little, what was he supposed to do? It had only been two weeks since they last talked. But it felt like forever. I felt like forever since he saw his pretty face close to his, since he held Simon in his arms for the last time, Since he didn't say those stupid three words back.

Wilhelm felt an ache in his heart, like it squeezed into half the size of normal. Burning in his chest like fire. He quickly put his hand at his chest, it felt like the pain was real, and it was. Just not physically.

He looked up at Simon, but he looked away.
