When Wilhelm got the invitation from August, to go to the party at the palace, he only said yes for one reason. A reason he had thought so much about, and how he should do it, without sounding stupid.
Actually he was glad August was hosting a party. Because how else could he get in contact with Simon?
If Simon came of course. But Wilhelm had hope.He was gonna tell Wilhelm all about August. He thought it was best if he heard if from him first. He had a feeling that he would get even more mad at him if he didn't.
He considered texting Simon, asking if he would come. But he decided not to. This party would probably be the only contact they would get this whole semester, maybe even ever. And even if it hurt like shit. I was best like that. They both knew that.

Wilhelm finally entered the palace about half an hour late. He climbed through the window, already hearing the music blasting from the party room.He was scared. Him and Simon hadn't talked since before Christmas, and he knew Simon was mad at him.
He was scared that Simon got even more mad, because he didn't tell him sooner. He was scared he refused to talk to him. He was scared of getting an anxiety attack mid conversation or not being able to talk.
But what he was most scared of, was not being able to control himself for kissing his soft lips, that he hadn't felt for so long. And had longed for every night, not being able to sleep, because Simon was missing in his arms.
He still remembered his smell, so humble and elegant, in a way nobody else smells. Like thousand of flowers in a little square of a field. Giving him the most safe and calming feeling he had ever felt
And he knew that it would be hard for him to resist, that familiar feeling of Simon close to him. But he had to do it, not just for Simon, but for himself too. He couldn't bear to keep that secret from him anymore. It was killing him from the inside out.

Wilhelm went into the party. People everywhere. Dancing, drinking and kissing. He felt out of place. Not belonged.
He immediately started searching for Simon. Looking in every corner of the big room, litted up by disco lights in every colour you could think of.
But he couldn't find him anywhere, and he started panicking a little. What if he's not even here?
It was a possibility, and a big one indeed.
But right when Wilhelm was about to leave the room to go have some air. He saw a brown curly thing peeking fastly by, behind a group of people.
And when he looked closer, he immediately saw that it was Simon. He could recognise him everywhere.
But why was he running? Wilhelm followed him with his eyes. Focused on finding out what he was running to.
