Mitski's PoV
To put it in simpler terms we had to do another Test, but this time it involved with a different Ranker.
'We seriously can't get a break at all.'
"Those of you who passed the Test, make a line! The next Test will be on a first-come, first-serve basis!" The two pigtails yellow haired Ranker said excitedly. "Hi! I'm the Test guide, Yellowy!" I cringed at bit at the name but didn't want to show that. "The Test will be conducted by one team after another. For the remaining teams, please wait and follow the guide robot's instruction."
'Great, even more waiting!' "The Test will now begin. The first team may enter now." She spoke just as the team entered the room where the Test is currently happening.
I took out the same small book from before while my siblings looked around, probably to see if we can make any alliances and then I have to make the call either we can trust them or not.
"Ms. Mitski!" I hear a familiar voice that said my name. I see Bam with the tall crocodile, I simply walked over to him without hesitation, but my siblings followed behind me.
I didn't see the Khun around him which was a good thing, or so I though I saw him walking towards us now and I just pretend to be happy even if our situation isn't one to be smiling. "I never introduced you to my siblings, she's Kim and he's Haruka," I pointed at them, I glanced at my sister, knowing that she's going to say something about me being able to talk without being nervous.
"This Mr. Rak and this is Mr. Khun, and I'm called the the 25th Bam but you can me Bam!" Bam introduced his friends and himself to my older siblings.
I glanced a bit at Khun for a while I could tell he didn't trust me at all even after what happened, but I kept fake smiling.
I turn and see Bam looking up at the skylight ceiling, his eyes sparkled with interest. "What's so interesting Bam?" asked Khun, while ignoring my existence. The boy looked startled by the sudden question.
"Huh? N-no, it's just... " He quietly mumbled. I didn't listen to their conversation and slowly walked away, I felt that I need to see if there's any place for me to stay away from the other Regulars and just read.
I took out the same small book filled with the same childhood stories from before, I felt a bit lonely, I never felt lonely from what I remember. "Hey Mitski, is everything okay?" Asked Haruka, the only person I can trust other than Kim.
"Yeah... Just wanted to have a bit of personal time to myself," I said, putting on the same poker face I would always have, "Turns out Bam never saw the sky or stars, you always believed in the in them." He giggled. I hated myself for that.
"I can to ask you if we can team up with Bam's team," I stayed quite a bit before answering, "Sure," I never protested against them.
I walked with my brother towards the rest, I could see my sister feeling upset for Bam since he didn't know what the sky is, so innocent and adorable, but he could be dangerous, he might even be the Irregular everyone is talking about.
"Looks like the princesses finally came back after running away," Khun said in a teasing voice, "Let's get to the point Khun, I came back to make an alliance with your team," I said, trying to be calm about the situation I'm about to get myself in.
I stare at him while waiting his respond, then I remember what my sister said before, I mentally shake my head at just the thought. "Okay," he then paused and then pulled me away from the group, leaving them confused.
"If we work with you, I would want you to repay me with your family's artifacts that you have." he whispered, I still had a smile on my face, but I was mentally stunned that he knew I had them. "Deal." Now I really done it.
I then got pulled back by Haruka, he never trusted the Khuns, especially their father, who in fact would be with countless women. Poor mother, she had to get along with a womanizer.
"You really are like your mother," Khun said, that made me feel upset and mad, I didn't like being compared to others it made me feel like I'm just a replica of that person and they don't see me as who I am.
I didn't replied back. I walked away, embarrassed on what just happened I feel I'm a bit young to even like someone already, or at least what they told me. They always said I was too young for many things, I didn't have the freedom to anything so I would sneak out to train with my bother and sister.
I saw Kim eavesdropping on a conversation that this weird looking guy was having with Bam's team. After that we went inside.
"Nice to meet you Regulars." He greeted us. "My name is Hansung Yu and I'm the Test administrator of your next test." He took a sip from his cup. "I'm usually just a Test Director on Evankhell's Floor, but this time I will be directly in charge of this Test."
Hansung Yu continued explaining, "The Test is simple, do you see all these doors behind me?" He asked. "Within ten minutes, find the real door and open it. If you find the real door and open it, you will pass this Test. However, if you don't the door in ten minutes and give up, you'll fail. And if you open the wrong door within ten minutes, you will die."
'That would explain all the screaming happening'
This is a test to see how much time it'll take us to make a decision, all the doors are correct but it's all about time. Or I might just be overthinking but it's worth the shot. "Pick any door you guys want," I said with confidence, hiding my fear away from them. They both pointed the middle and nodded giving them my agreement.
"Well done, as expected from the Yamamoto family," the Test Administrator stood up, I looked at him with my signature poker face, as for Kim she was all happy about the results, "You two sure had the right idea to pick your younger sister as the leader, now that you passed the Test you can go."
I stayed behind for a bit while they passed through the door. "You'll soon be like your mother, left alone, abandoned, manipulated, and betrayed." Hansung Yu said, I didn't replay at all. "Tell me, what do you think of Khun?" He asked me, "He seems lonely even if he has teammates he relies on, that's how I see him." I said calmly. "Very well, you may procced now."
