Candy. How original.

"So what'd you say about that drink?" She quirked an eyebrow at him. Her eyes were caramel; warm honey, yet they were piercing through his very being.

This was no easy fish to catch for sure.

"Sorry Hun. My glass is still half full."

" Or half empty."

"It's a matter of perspective."

" Too bad," Dureen signaled the bartender, "I could do with some delightful company tonight." He ordered his drink and turned towards her.

"And you chose me?" Her eyes glittered with mockery.

He was losing her, think fast man.
"Look Candy, I don't mean anything offensive. I find you a beautiful woman and would like to spend the night in your company. We don't need to do anything you don't want. It all on you."

Her face was a blank canvas, but he saw it in her eyes. The confusion, hesitance and if he read it right, determination.

"Alright," Her voice was soft.

"But first you have to buy me a drink."
*******

Oh gosh.

Never again. Alcohol was the devil itself. These were the thoughts that flitted through Carlette's mind as the sun filtered it's way through her curtains.

Groaning like the dead, she heaved herself off the bed, feeling like a load of bricks were on her head.

Goddamitall.
Her stomach growled loudly.

Hungry now.
Yawning, she stretched and got a whiff of herself.

Bath now, breakfast after.

Stripping as she made her way to the bathroom, she mentally checked her day. Basically she had nothing going on but to wait until someone called and tell her she got through.

She set her shower on cold. The chill of it woke her up entirely, clearing the fog that was her brain.

Last night was..... Well? Pleasant? Successful? Yes successful was perhaps a better word. Memories began flitting through her mind, never did she thought she'd make such a catch. Blast it all. What a fine ass catch did she make.

The first word that jumped to her mind when she first saw him was smooth, refined.

His voice was cultured, deep, almost like the rumble of thunder, it held the promise of danger, something more. Besides there was something else about him...... Something other......... The aura surrounding him was.. different, for lack of a better word.

He sent shivers up her spine. Made her feel alive, a mere touch of their fingers set her entire being on fire. No man had made her feel like that, not even Rick, though honestly he was the closest.

Shutting off her shower she wrapped herself, and began brushing her teeth. Oh well, at least she had a good night. Her stomach growled, reminding her that the beast within haven't been fed.

Fine ass specimen. Ugh. Carlette. Give it a break.

He certainly was loaded. No bluff, that one. Really? Stop this now. You're obsessing at this point. Well, she knew she wouldn't see him after, so why not remember the night as far as it went?
At this point it's roadkill. Stop studying your one night stand and get crackalacking with food.
