Carlette woke with a start. Ugh, her head was freaking killing her. Where was she? What happened? Instantly the memories came rushing back.

Holy fuck, she was kidnapped! Panic threatened to overwhelm her. "Breathe Carlette, breathe easy. 1,2,3, breathe." She forced herself to be calm.  Okay, now where was she?

She was shocked when she realized that it was not what she was expecting of a kidnapping place.

The walls were a soft, cream, color. The furnishings were sparse; however, the place was clean, it was then she realized that she was lying on a bed. What the hell was going on? Okay this was too weird. Where the fuck was she? Like seriously?

Carlette got up, still a little groggy, but she had no intentions to wait for whoever it was to come and do whatever they wanted to her.

Quietly, she opened the door and slid out. There was a corridor leading downstairs. "Shit," she cursed. Whoever it was they could be downstairs. She couldn't possibly go down there vulnerable. Now would be a great time for a gun. Unfortunately, that wasn't an option. She went back to the room. The room was so sparse that she almost gave up. No, there has to be something here that I could use. Looking in the wardrobe she found a long, sharp knife and a handgun hidden under some clothes.

Instantly suspicious, Carlette looked around the room once more. Why would kidnappers place weapons in their victims' room? "This must be a prank or some fucked up shit." She began looking for cameras, finding none, she tensed even more if possible.

"Ain't no way I'm staying here any longer." With that she went out the door__ only to run into a wall.

"Ow fuck, my nose."

"Going somewhere?"

Instinctively she kicked her assailant in the groin. He doubled over cursing her; however, he was still blocking the doorway. Carlette hit him in the head with the handle of her gun.

All groaning ceased as he crumpled to the floor. not caring whether he was okay or not, she moved steadily towards the stairs. Heart thumping, she tried to move as stealthily as possible.

The corridor was empty.  Not wanting to make any mistake, Carlette checked her gun. Satisfied, she went downstairs, quietly. Despite having a gun, she really didn't know how much people were here, so she'd have to be careful.
