Part 3: Happiness?

"Oh my god are you sure you're ok! I can leave!- No... Don't tell Ink?.. Fine... I know... You'll be ok?..good...well I'm going out for lunch, if I have time I can come see you... No I want to... I wouldn't get in trouble... Fine...if you insist... I love you Dream, bye..."
Blue hung up his phone, an intense look of fear and worry still residing on his face even after he did so. Dream was in the hospital and he was horrified. For one Dream was hurt after having fallen through the dock and into the water. And for two he was now stuck with unchanged. Blue could only hope that they would help him, even if they did find out he was changed...but that's all he could do, hope...and that made him sad...
He didn't get a lot time to think about that though, an oven beeping and taking his attention. Blue went over and took some cookies out of the hot box, then put another sheet in.
"What are you still doing here sweetie?"
Blue heard a customer call from behind him. He turned around and saw it was Lust, standing there in a long fur coat due to the cold to, it covering his most likely fancy attire. He owned one of the most popular brothels in the city, or more town, and there for made a decent amount of money that he could spend to make his establishment even more appealing, that being why he was here talking to Blue.
"Oh hello Lust! What would you like?"
"The usual honey, and an answer to my question."
Letting out a nervous chuckle, Blue got out a few boxes and started to fill them with the  fancy pastries Lust normally order.
"Well my coworker had to deal with something, and said that they'd be a little late... So I stayed, should just be a few minutes longer though."
"I suppose...just hope you get paid for it instead of who ever they are, clearly you deserve it more."
"Maybe but I don't want to loose this job, I really love working here."
"Wouldn't doubt it...but it don't pay well, you know?"
"I know...and you've seen mine and my brothers house, it isn't the best..."
"I know, but nobodies is really, at least not now a days."
"Hehe, you're one to talk"
"Hmhm, I already know that darling~"
They both laughed a little just as Blue started filling the last box.
"Well at least you know"
"Ya...and since I have a habit to talk..."
Lust shoved a card forward, and Blue assumed it was a check or something and went to grab it when he stopped. It was business card for Lust's brothel, or one of his other establishments with in the building.
"Men like monster's, and you and all you're brothers could make a lot money just because you can alter you're ectos. I would be there and make sure none of you or even just one of you is miss treated... All I'm trying to say is you all have pretty faces and great ecto's, bright and extravagant...so think about it?"
"I...I can't...and I shouldn't..."
"I know you're a fey honey, you hide it but you don't do it well."
"H-Huh!? No I'm not-"
"Don't"
Though Blue wanted to keep arguing he didn't and let Lust speak.
"I've known for this long, so do you honestly think I wouldn't have said anything if I wanted to?"
"...I don't know..."
"Well I didn't and I won't, besides I have other changed that work there to...it's not your fault you're the way you are..."
"Ya I know..."
"But that's not it, is it? Shy or something?"
"Obviously...but...
Blue was thinking about Dream, and how he was still working at the docks to support him and Ink...just so Blue could be happy...
"Even if I wasn't...Dream is working a miserable job so I can be here... I'm not just gonna quit..."
"Oh darling I would never make you do that... This is a late night offer for the Gentlemens club, wouldn't have sex with anyone and you would still make money with tips."
"...Neither of my brothers would do that..."
"Then you think about it, if the answers no then don't show up...alright?"
"...Thank you for buying our pastries, I'll see ya later Lust..."
Lust let out a hushed chuckle as he picked up the boxes of sweets.
"Good bye Blue, and please do consider my offer."
Blue waved bye, watching Lust leave just as his coworker walked in. When this happened Blue lit up, grabbing his coat and lunch and running out the door as he blabbered what was done and what was cooking.
He skipped down the side walk, ending up near the woods. There were some old picnic benches there that nobody used, fearing that there were things in the woods that could get them. Blue wasn't worried, and ate there regularly. But that day something weird happened, he at first heard rustling then shortly after that some talking. Worried that someone could've hurt them selves, Blue called out-
"Hello? Is any one there!?"
He didn't get a response but could still here something. So putting away his lunch, Blue got up and went into the woods. He was on what used to be a nature trail, connecting him to the what used to be park, the one he was just in. It was over grown and looked scary...dead plants being the main thing to occupy the space. But as he walked deeper into the woods, the space started to become beautiful. Large coniferous tree's surrounded Blue on every side, almost every one being littered with beautiful vines and flowers. Compared to the gloom in the town, this place was astonishing in ways Blue had ever yet to experience...
This daze of amazement was interrupted by a loud shuffling, along with some foot steps. Turning around Blue came face to face with the barrel of a shot gun. He had no clue what to say, should he even say any-
"What the fuck see you doing out here kid?"
A raspy voice asked, Blue quick to respond
"I heard rustling and thought someone was in trouble...please don't shoot me..."
It took a minute but eventually the man covered in camo took his gun away.
"You shouldn't be out here..."
"Neither should you...even with a gun like that..."
"I was hunting a beast that was getting my chickens!- Come look!"
Before Blue could protest seeing a dead animal, the man dragged him off to some random location in the forest. By then time he was let go, Blue was in front of a ginormous wolf caught in a bear trap by the tail and back leg .
"This thing has been picking off my chickens!-"
"You're chicken's across town? Where you're farm is?"
"Yes!-"
"Don't you think that people would've notice a wolf walking through town to get to your farm. A fox was probably getting them, I heard there was one picking off chickens near that side of town anyways."
"There isn- Well- Um..."
"Ya...so how about you don't kill the wolf?"
"Grr...Fine...but you got to get it out of that trap, it's not my fucking problem."
"Wait I don't-"
The angered farm didn't even give Blue the time of day, storming off angry. Blue was now left with the wolf, having no clue what he should do now that he was alone with this...thing...
"Um ok...h-hi wolf...I'm gonna help you...please don't bite my face off..."
Slowly Blue got down on the ground next to the ginormous wolf, it letting out a small growl when Blue's hands started to get close as a warning. Blue froze, and tried talking to the animal again, thinking that for some reason it would listen to him like he was some Disney Princess.
"I won't hurt you! Please don't hurt me..."
Though Blue got close to the trap and the wolf was still snarling, it didn't bite him and actually let Blue take off the trap. It took a few good tugs but it eventually let go of the animal, it letting out a small yelp once the toothy trap released it.
"T-There! Now go ahead!- Run off!"
The beast didn't do that, only sitting up and looking at Blue.
"Um...or not-"
"Grr..."
"O-Ok I'll shut up..."
Knowing that he had no chance of running away from the animal, and that his wings were more than stuck, Blue didn't move. Then the wolf went quiet and stopped moving for a few seconds. In a moment of pure and utter stupidity, Blue started running even though five seconds ago he realized how bad of an idea that was. He sprinted and ran as fast as he could but was obviously not fast enough to put run a wolf, getting slammed onto the ground near seconds after he began running. He thought that he'd be mauled, killed, definitely not eaten but something bad. Just as he was having these thoughts he got flipped around just to see something that made him stop struggling and freeze.
