Part 7: Home

Dream was walking home, after being discharged from the hospital. He insisted he didn't need transportation home- So now he was stuck walking. Blue would be home at most a hour or so later, so he was looking forward to seeing him, and seeing Ink who should already be there. He wasn't going to tell Ink about what happened that day though...he didn't want to put Ink through that...make him worry when there was no need to anymore...
"He'd just get worried again...and besides he's probably happy right now... I wouldn't want to ruin the mood..."
Getting up to the door, Dream began to fumbled with his keys as he thought to himself.
"But maybe I should say something about Nightmare, and Cross... I don't have to tell anyone how we met but he still might like to here about them..."
Hearing the lock click, Dream slid his keys away again and went to open the door.
"I wonder though...if I'll ever see them again-"
"Oh Dream!"
Ink called to his brother from the couch. Dream looked over at him to see Error holding him close in his arms. Dream grumbled, seeing Error hold his brother like he did, the way he did.
"You two seem comfy..."
Hearing the rather sour tone from his brother, Ink chuckled awkwardly and got off of Error, who was at that point just as nervous as he was if not more.
"Dream don't be mean, I mean look at what he got me! And he made it so comfy to, see?"
Ink showed Dream the sweater he had on
"I like it, it looks comfy. Speaking of comfy, I'm going to go change."
"Oh ok! I'll pick up this mess, shouldn't take to long."
"There isn't much of one but I know I won't be able to convince you otherwise so alright, you do that and I'll be back"
Walking off to his room, Dream quickly changed into something more accommodating to his body. A black shirt with an open back for his wings, and some pair of old work pants. Walking out in his gray and white stand pants, Dream looked at Error who at the moment was still alone. He went over to him, sitting down next him even though there were plenty of other places for him to go... This made Error feel uncomfortable, then awkward when neither said anything for about a minute.
"...So...I hope you haven't touched my brother yet."
"Pfft- W-What!?- No!- I-I-I would-d never think-nk!-"
"Don't give me that BS, you've been ready for a while now."
"How would- N-No not-"
"It's part of my...skill set, let's just say I can feel what others are feeling, know it well to. So that being said, I have to look out for my brother, especially when some one wants to fuck him."
"S-Stop saying it like that!"
Error buried his face in scarf, as an intense blush occupied his face. Dream lightly snickered, looking away from Error with a smirk as he continued to speak.
"My guess is you aren't going home, where ever that is... So don't pull anything, he's sweet...don't break him in if he isn't ready..."
"I know that alr-"
"What are you guys talking about?"
Before Dream could continue to pester and berate Error some more, Ink walked back in looking confused.
"Oh nothing! Wanna sit next to Error?"
"Sure- But you don't have to move-"
"Nonsense, besides Blue will be here any minute now and he'll want help with dinner. So I mine as well start now, get something's out."
"Aw...well fine, we'll talk later then."
"Alright, see ya"
Dream again walked away, leaving Ink alone with Error. Though Dream had just left, Ink could see that Error still seemed a little off...
"Hey Babe, you ok?"
"O-Oh ya...it's just-"
"Ink!"
Before Ink had a chance to react, Blue tackled him into a hug.
"Blue! How was you're day? You seem happy"
"The best! I saw Lust and made a knew friend-! Oh...hey Error..."
After hearing that less then savory tone, Error again chuckled nervously, not knowing any other way to react. Knowing that he could probably cut the tension in the room with a butter knife, Ink tried his best to hurry this awkward interaction along the best he could.
"Anyways, Dream's in the kitchen getting somethings ready for dinner. If you wanna go help him then-"
"Ok! I'll see you later Ink...Error..."
Blue walked off, probably to go change like Dream did before going to make dinner. Once he was gone, Error just sighed and finished what he was saying before Blue walked in.
"I don't think you're brothers like me very much..."
"Well they were the ones that told me to go see you, so they must like you a little..."
"Ya must..."
"T-They do!- They just have an odd way of showing it...ehe..."
Error lightly chuckled, pulling Ink close after he did so. Ink really didn't know any better, and Error knew that.
"They sure do Ink...They...sure do..."
"Look, they won't do anything... Maybe scold you from time to time but they just worry is all..."
"They have good reason... I just have to know if it's because I'm...not changed-"
"No no no! No! Never Babe that isn't it! They know you're different, they're comfortable around you, so much so that they even let their wings show- If it was then it'd be obvious..."
"Hell it isn't already-"
"Error!"
Error couldn't help but laugh as Ink hit him a few times and pouted.
"Don't be mean! They're my brothers-"
"And they love you...just like I do... But please if you can, when I'm gone, talk to them? At a little?.."
"...Fine... But that being said, without telling my brothers...can you talk to yours...see where they stand on fey...and if they'd be ok with me..."
"Ink..."
"Please...don't tell them I'm one, just ask what their thoughts are...on us..."
"They're kind, honest like me... But I can't make any promises..."
"I know..."
Grabbing onto Error's hand, Ink held it in his own and smiled.
"I'm just asking for you to try...to see..."
"...Ok, I wi-"
"Dinner!"
The couple heard Blue call from the kitchen, ending their conversation rather quickly afterwards. Ink went quiet for a second, sort of zoning out for a moment. Error noticed, rolling his eyes and nudging Ink a small bit.
"Shall we continue this afterwards?"
Error asked, Ink snapping out of his small daze and nodding.
"Um ya, good idea"
Ink said, as Error helped him off the couch and led him to the kitchen to eat.
Dinner was...tense...a few words spoken but overall it was pretty good considering...
"Come on Blue, please-"
At least until the end of it, when Blue was cleaning up and bagging any left overs as Ink kept asking him for something he couldn't give...
"Ink I can't magic up more roles, I had what was left over from work and luckily there were four...but there would've been-"
"Don't...and besides it's ok..."
Turning to Error, who was still in the room waiting for him, Ink smiled and gave him a peck on the cheek.
"Ima get ready for bed, alright?"
"Ok, see ya in a bit Inky"
"See ya~"
Ink smiled, waltzing off to his room and leaving his boyfriend with one of his brothers...again... Before he got another talking to, Error went to leave when-
"Don't go anywhere, not yet at least"
Error froze, slowly turning back around to look at Blue.
"What?.."
"I need you to give this to Ink"
Reaching into a paper bag that appeared to be from Blue's place of work, Blue pulled out one of the big sweet roles that they had just had with dinner, that Ink had just been asking for and wanted. Blue handed to it Error and smiled.
"He likes to have one after dinner when we have them... I normally give it to him or bring it to him, but since you're here you can bring it to him..."
"Oh ok-"
"And...me and Dream...we just want Ink to be happy...be taken care of, like he did with us... So please make him happy, and take care of him alright?.."
"Of course, I always would..."
"Hm good...now go see him, before he gets up to see us getting along."
"Ehe...alright, bye Blue"
"See ya"
Blue waved Error bye, so Error went off to Ink's room. He was going to enter the room when he noticed Ink was changing. It wasn't a very big deal, but Error knew Ink would still freak out if he just walked in. So he waited until he was done, so he didn't scare his Inky. Once he was Error walked in, greeting him as he did so.
"Hey love"
"Oh hi Babe, did you survive my brother?"
"Hmhm, yes and I got this for you out of it~"
Ink was a little confused, until he saw the role Error had for him. He squealed and took the sweet pastry from his lover before jumping onto the bed with it.
"Thanks!- Blue always makes these for me when he can, and when it goes with dinner, I thought there weren't any left though?"
"Oh well Blue was able to find another one, so I brought it to you."
"Thanks"
Ink hummed as he began to eat his snack. Error smiled, shedding some of his clothes and sitting down next to his lover. Ink blushed a little but it didn't bother him to much.
"Sorry I don't have-"
"It's fine, and here"
Breaking off some of his role, Ink handed some to Error as he kept eating.
"Um Ink you don't-"
"It's fine, besides you liked them to"
"I did...so thanks"
"Hm, don't mention it- Hey!"
Getting yanked down into bed by Error, Ink yelped and giggled a little as small kisses were pecked to his cheeks.
"You're so sweet, maybe even a bit than this~"
"D-Don't flatter me, besides I love sharing with you~"
"I'd hope love~"
Watching Ink snuggle up in him some how made Error smile more.
"You finished?"
"Ya~"
"Going to sleep then?"
"Obviously~"
"Alright smart ass, I'll see ya in the morning then~"
"See ya then, night~"
"Hm night~"
Error watched as his little bean fell asleep in his arms, his wings slowing to a small buzz every so often once he had. Error gently rubbed the back of Ink's head, sighing a little as he did.
"I love you Inky..."
Placing a small kiss on top of Ink's temple, Error again smiled as his eyes began to grow heavy. Just before he fell asleep, Error spoke one last time for the night.
"I just wish that things were easier... You deserve them to be...that and so much more..."
