It had been a while since you were living in Encanto, and you and Camilo had gotten pretty close.

At least you hoped so because he was essentially your only friend in that village.

Ok, you were exaggerating, you had other friends, his cousin Mirabel is a good example, but he was the only one you felt you had the closest relationship with.

You two were sitting near a river, actually, you were sitting, and the curled hair boy was laying down with his head on your lap, not that you minded, you actually liked messing around with his hair.

- what is that weird name you gave for when you are stroking my hair? - he asks closing his eyes.

-first of all, I didn't give the name it's called that in Portuguese, and for the 11th time it's cafuné. - you say giving a small slap on his forehead getting a little laugh from him.

-it's not my fault you Brazilians have such difficult names for stuff - he says opening his eyes and looking at you.

And he stares at you for a while, when out of nowhere that boy sits up and turns to look at you, he had a serious face on, one that you didn't even know he was capable of doing that makes you feel anxious.

-Y/N, there is something I've been wanting to tell you - he looks at you, eye to eye.

-what it is? - you say and stare at him too, swallowing hard.

- I-

-CAMILO!! - you two hear Pepa and soon after she appears with a rain cloud above her head and you see Camilo cursing under his breath - oh hi Y/N - she says smiling turning the rain cloud quickly into a rainbow.

-Hola Senhora Pepa - you say smiling and waving hi.
- what do you want mamá? - Camilo asks turning to his mom, that made the rainbow turn back into a rainy cloud.

-I clearly stated that you could only go out when you finish your chores Camilo Madrigal and guess what you didn't do?

-Mamá I'm sorry, but can't I do it later?

-Camilo Madrigal I'm going to give you 5 seconds to get your ass up and finish that task or you not getting out of your bedroom for a long time.

-ok! Ok! I'm getting up! - he jolts up but before he walks away he turns to you and kisses you on the cheek - talk to you later beautiful. - and he runs to finish what he needs to do before his mom kicked his butt.

-Dios Mio that boy - she says rubbing the bridge of her nose - I'm sorry for that dear, goodbye. -she says before leaving.

- goodbye Tia Pepa! - you say getting up yourself and rubbing your cheek where the boy had kissed.

You blush vigorously, yeah you were falling hard and quick for that chameleon boy.

And the days pass by and you and Camilo get closer and closer.

You two started to make shows together, you would tell the stories and Camilo would act shapeshifting into the characters.

You two were in perfect tempo, together you two felt unstoppable.

But your feelings were getting out of hand as well, and hiding them was not as successful as it used to.

You sigh sitting in front of your house observing him in the distance.

- you know you're pretty obvious right? - someone tells you all of nowhere scaring you.

-CARALH- MEU DEUS MIRABEL -you say putting your hand over your heart - a warning next time, please.

-I'm sorry Y/N, but again you're pretty obvious - you look at her in confusion - and oblivious - this second part she just whispered to herself.

-about what? - you ask

-about him of course! - she says pointing at Camilo.

You just look at the floor and blush.

-as I said obvious- she says sitting next to you looking at her Primo too - you should act on it.

-what?

-on your feelings - she says looking at you now - you should act on them.

-what? No Mira! I can't

-Y/N trust me, you should, at least before someone else does. - she says standing up, and you stand up too.

-what does that mean? Hey! Mirabel! Wait! - but she was already gone. - droga! - you say kicking the sand and sitting down again.

"What did she mean with someone else acting on them?" You ask yourself before you notice Camilo coming in your direction "I will think about that later"
-hi milo! - you say hugging him.

Mirabel didn't get the chance to walk that far when someone pulled her into an alleyway, she was going to scream but the strange person putted a hand on her mouth.

-Dolores?!- she says with her voice muffled by her cousin's hand.

-shhhhhh - she says while she takes her hand out of Mirabel's mouth. -tell me what you mean by someone acting on Y/N feelings before they can.

- Tio Bruno is still on his hiatus? - Mirabel ask

-yes! And these two are my only entertainment at the moment, so answer me!

-ok, ok, I have a plan for-

-wait! - Dolores interrupts her Prima - not here, they are too close, let's go to Casita and you tell me.

-alright.- Mirabel says and the both of them go to Casita to work on Mirabel's plan.

Sorry if this chapter is strange, I literary wrote it in a ten-hour car trip sleep-deprived, so sorry for any grammar mistakes (I was with no internet, so not even Grammarly was working properly)
