The storyteller and the Chameleon

-ok, so tell me what you have in mind - Dolores says turning to Mirabel.

-alright, but we are going to need Tío Bruno's help!

Mirabel grabs Dolores's arm and drags her to their Tío's hideout in the walls.

-Tío? Are you in there? - Mirabel asks.

-Yes Mira.

The both of them enter the little room their Tío stayed the last ten years in.

- Didn't your room change after we rebuild the house? Why are you still here? -Dolores asked confused.

-Mirabel told me beforehand she had a plan for those two, so I thought talking here would be easier to put into action.

-oh, ok it makes sense - she says sitting on the floor alongside Mirabel.

- Alright! Welcome to the first meeting of operación Cupido!

Days pass and you were laying in a hammock outside your house reading your favorite book.

It was a book about Brazilian legends gifted to you by your grandfather, and it was the book that got you so interested in storytelling reading all about those mythical creatures made you want to share with anyone you could.

You were reading for the 100th time the story of Saci, Saci is a humanoid creature of the size of a kid with just one leg and dressed in red shorts with a red hat, the creature liked to play tricks on people all around Brazil. (Image at the end of the chapter for reference)

The little creature reminded you a lot of a certain Chameleon around town.

But your reading was interrupted when a rat jumped on you and stole your book and ran away.

You got up almost fell from the hammock and ran trying to catch the small creature.

Camilo on the other hand was walking around town just helping people out, as he did every day when I girl approached him.

He recognized her as the librarian's daughter, he believed her name was Maria, but he wasn't sure.

-Hello, Camilo - she says giving him a small wave

-Hello there! - he says avoiding her name so he wouldn't get it wrong.

-so... I had something to tell you for a while - she continues getting a little shifty.

Before she could finish you that were chasing the rat finally caught him, the only problem you fell down face-first to the floor, hearing everything and ruining the girl's confession.

You shot up and said ashamed and kinda sad:

-Me desculpa! It wasn't my attention to ruin anything, I'm going now bye! - you say the last part was a little rushed and ran away soon after.

- (Y/N) wait! - Camilo shouts for you, but before he chases you he turns around to talk with the girl- I'm sorry, I need to go.

-no problem - she says with a smile - I understand.

-Gracias - he reciprocates her smile and goes to find you.

The girl walks away to a place where a trio was hiding.

-are you guys sure this is going to work out? - the girl asks the three.

-I'm 100% certain, I know my brother like the palm of my hand.
