CHAPTER 2

She went inside the cafe and roam her eyes around searching for Kai and stopped when she spotted him.

She sneaked behind him and covered his eyes with her palms.

He chuckled. "Let me guess. My love of my life?" 

Her cheeks turned pink and removed her palms off her boyfriend's eyes.

Kai stared at Jennie and gave her a warm smile. "Wow. You're getting prettier everyday," amused by her beauty.

"I'm always beautiful," she smiled and the moment she said the word beautiful, Lisa's kind words and appreciation towards her flashes to her mind. It made her wonder again if the tall blonde hates her or not.

"You really are. Even if I don't see you that much, you're always on my mind," Kai said sweetly that made Jennie sweetly giggle.

The tall blonde hurriedly rush to the staff room, tied her hair neatly and put an apron on.

'It's work time' Lisa thought to herself.

"Hey, Tzuyu. Sorry I'm late. The bus was too slow," Lisa reasoned.

"The bus again, Lisa?" Tzuyu chortled and just shook her head.

"I'll work on this order, please assist the others," Tzuyu requested.

"Got it," Lisa winked at her.

"Welcome to Starbucks Driveway. What can I get for you today?" Lisa greeted the customer enthusiastically.

"You," a tall and handsome customer grinned at her. The regular customer of Lisa since she was still a trainee before becoming a regular barista.

Lisa giggled but managed to get on track. "It's you again, Sehun. Sorry but I'm out of order. So, what can I get for you today, pretty handsome?"

She's never that cheerful unless you are Bright or someone she's comfortable with. Knowing Sehun as a regular customer for a long time and cheering her up during her trainee days made her consider Sehun as her friend.

Sehun's cheeks flushed into pink. "The same thing as yesterday," he smiled from ear to ear.

Lisa wrote on the cup 'pretty handsome'. She knew the guy likes to be called like this. That's a pretty good customer service.

"Okay, gotcha," Lisa playfully winked and handed his order to the other barista. Sehun took off and sat at his usual seat while waiting for his order.

Lisa's eyes widened when she saw Jennie as the next customer but managed to compose herself, getting back in being a cold one when in comes to her.

"What can I get for you?" Lisa asked sternly that it got Tzuyu's attention. Wondering why Lisa is acting odd when earlier she's enthusiastic and energetic, and was even half flirting with the guy before Jennie.

"One Iced Venti Americano," Jennie said without looking at the blonde's eyes but instead at the menu.

"That would be $3.75," Lisa said plainly, shot her customer a lazy look.

Jennie handed her card for a swipe.

After Jennie, Lisa greeted the next customer enthusiastically which made Tzuyu look at the tall blonde suspiciously.

Jennie gasped and glared at Lisa whose smile is from ear to ear in assisting the next customer. Jennie waited for her order near the countertop.

"Drinks for pretty handsome!" the other barista named Chanyeol called out.
