(3rd Pov)
In Babylonia, Commander Nikola is glancing through reports in his office. Though with all the important details he has to sort through in them, his mind kept nagging him with another set of information that wanted more attention. He groans and puts down the tablet, before pinching his nose in meek hope that the headache would go away.
A knock is heard from the door leading into his office. Nikola doesn't say anything as the person on the other side made their way in.
"How nice of you to knock."
The man across from his desk chuckled with mirth.
"Sorry, I don't give up easily."
"So I've heard. Want do you want, Hassan."
The man before him is President Hassan, the leader of the Babylonia council and overseer of all management in Babylonia.
"Oh nothing much, I just heard from Celica that she noticed a certain communication channel opened up." Hassan continues to smile as he goes to sit down at a chair in front of Nikola's desk.
Said man huffed in annoyance and crossed his arms.
"Tricked her into slipping that information, I hope, and shirking your responsibilities over this? I expected more from you."
"Ha, maybe so. But there is no harm in talking is there?"
"I don't 'talk' in the way you are thinking."
"Fine, fine, so just go ahead and tell me, how is Y/n doing these days? No trouble, I hope." Hassan pushes on with an easy-going smile.
"He's still at optimal capacity to take on mission."
"That's not what 'fine' means."
"It is in our line of work." Nikola makes sure to send the subtle message of 'he doesn't concern you'.
"I suppose so." Hassan shrugs it off. "Then, is there anything I should be made aware of? And please, don't skip any details."
Nikola glares at the man, in some vain attempt to make him leave. Hassan doesn't move an inch. Nikola sighs.
"He wishes for 'Tifa' of the recently disbanded Suzaku squad to be considered MIA, before being found and assigned a new team." He gets straight to the point, of which being the very subject nagging at his mind. Hassan would understand, judging by the way his eyes widened at the news.
"The same Tifa who Vera found to be the 'Iron Maiden'? Her?"
"Yes, her. He reasons in his report, that not many squads can confirm the Iron Maiden's origins or identity. So for all the public knows, Tifa is the sole survivor of her squad and the Iron Maiden has been terminated, leaving only us and few others to know the truth. He's personally requesting that she receives the same status as him."
